Even when my gt blew up in lane 4 of the M6 during Friday morning rush hour at knutsford services... I still loved it.
Made the traffic report and southbound was shut, so was the entrance/exit of the services.
Stunning in red with black leather.
I have had 8 GTV's, 2.0/3.0, preferred the gt diesel, also incredibly practical.

Great shed
Yep! Aged far better IMHO of course! The rear of the Brera was always a touch ………. plump.

Great cars. Ran one as a daily from 60k to 130k for 5 years. Apart from front suspension, already identified as service items but a driveway job, and usual service bits it was absolutely reliable. Mine was also a JTS and used a bit of oil even at 10/60. But nothing failed, never failed to get me home and even the air con still worked.

They are a good drive with v pointy steering, surprisingly comfortable over long distances and have a massive boot, especially with the rear seat down.

Sold it to a local chat, who wanted a weekend Alfa. Still see it occasionally. Miss it and one of the better cars that I have owned. At that price, if honest, a v good deal I’d say.

When new I always thought these looked a bit awkward, but now they're looking better and better. This one must be worth a punt.

Love the Alfa GT. For a parts bin car full of 156 and 147 bits, it is a really nice package. Had an 08 Lusso in Nero Anthracito with the same JTS 2.0.

Loved the look of the car (although agree the Brera interior is better), practicality, and ability to eat up miles, and really nice on a flowing road. Not a sports car by any measure, and the gearbox was proper old school Italian, needing to be gently encouraged through the gears… It was incredibly rust free and resistant which was a pleasant surprise too.

The engine though was a nightmare - no end of problems, and even on a good day, at 160ish horses (which I think was an ambitious estimate) it was disappointingly underpowered, drank like a sailor, and was pretty poor on emissions. The (also 08) Civic Type R (FN2) I ran at the same time (and still own) offered 40 extra horses, far better economy and bullet-proof reliability out of the same 2.0 litres.

Would love another GT but it’d have to be a Busso V6 one (although that’s not a shed-money proposition). And my wife would leave me. So I guess that’s an issue…

Great shed though - even with the JTS time-bomb.

Lovely car! But Jesus wept, the advert!

It would almost put me off going to look at it. Swiss Tony at his finest. "Run, don't walk to look at this one!" vomit

I had one of these in JTD flavour for eleven years from 06 to 17. Was a great car and I think has aged really well. I had one failure of the clutch master cylinder which was fixed under warranty at the time, but otherwise no faults I can recall.

I remember testdriving one of these with the 3.2 and i thought it was a decent step up compared to my 156 at the time. Would love to have a go in one of these nowadays for sure smile

Had a 2004 V6 GT for several years only sold as needed 4 doors with growing children. Enjoyed it, front seats very comfortable, only thing was hatchback squeaking silicon spray usually solved it at least for a while. Dark blue over grey looked good traded in for £5000 5 years ago.

Really wanted a Q2 in period but couldn't justify the cost to change. Alas, I'm probably a bit too spoiled these days to appreciate one.

Lovely looking shed. If the car is honest will make a great buy.
Very depressing the top 3 most popular colours are black, white and grey.
