Great to see a split decision here on who's fight this will be.

Fury does look to be in good shape, I think he has Ngannou to thank for that but I'll stand by my initial judgement that Usyk will come through.

I hope it's a clear decision and not one that rests on some questionable scorecards.

So this weekend, can anybody see kambosos beating lomachenko?

Seeing weigh in pictures it really surprised me how slight kambosos is in comparison, aside from an inch or so in height loma actually looks the bigger man which is really unusual for him
Loma all the way for me ..

Loma should beat Kambosos with ease, not a very competitive fight unless Loma has very quickly aged.

Big boost for Fury yesterday, the ref selected for the Usyk fight is the same guy who reffed Horn Vs Pacquiao. Expect Fury to get away with holding and dirty tactics, particularly low blows.

Such a skillfully boxer, that wee shoulder roll he used to do was insane. A genuine throwback fighter.

I think Kambosos Jr is very capable of another 'Lopez' type upset here.

I'm rooting for him. I absolutely love his ballsy style!

Has anyone other than Holyfield been successful going cruiser to heavy weight?
Bob Fitzsimmons went from Middleweight to heavyweight then back down to light heavy!
Relatively common back then to fight at multiple weights, likely because heavyweights were rarely the giants they now are. Carpentier was a light heavy, so was Billy Conn, Ketchell, a Middleweight, fought, I think, Jack Johnson? Perhaps one of the best light heavies, Bob Foster campaigned at heavy latterly, Gene Tunney was a light heavyweight.
Yeah ketchel fought Jack Johnson .. the story around that fight is nuts .. it wasn't really a fight, more supposed to be an exhibition as Johnson was so much bigger than ketchel.... It was supposed to be fixed with both fighters agreeing beforehand to dance around each other ... But ketchel decided to double cross Johnson and actually put him down with an unexpected heavy shot. Johnson was furious, jumped up and promptly flattened ketchel with such a hard shot that ketchels 2 front teeth ended up embedded in Johnson's glove ..you can see on the film Johnson brushing the teeth out of his glove with the other glove
Depends how far you want to go back. Tommy Burns 5’7” middleweight held heavyweight title 1906 to 1908. 13 successful defences!

Possibly a bit before your time but I remember Foster stepping up to heavy at the peak of his powers only to be bounced around the ring, knocked down 7 times or more before being ko'd in the 8th (I think) by the absolute master, Ali.

I've you haven't read the book about Jack Johnson dethroning burns on boxing day 1908 in Australia it's well worth a read pal....

I've actually got a hand written note by Tommy burns, one of the rarer pieces in my collection.... I'd love to get a jack Johnson signature but they are rarer than hens teeth and proper big dough..... I think she'd de bk me if I tried to slip one into the house unnoticed

Unforgiveable Blackness about Johnson is a wonderful book. A must read for any boxing fan, or anyone just interested in the progress of the human race.

Ali was, in his 'prime', an incredible, almost otherworldly fighter. Watch him V Cleveland Williams at the Houston astrodome or his surgical, cruel dismantling of a proud but outskilled Floyd Paterson for reference. Hell, watch him dismantle Liston in what was a close fight. With an absolute MONSTER. Like trying to catch smoke. People always refer to his later fights, the ones he won on heart, bottle, chutzpah, but prime Ali was a ghost

Sadly, we probably missed prime Ali.

The 3.5 years he had out would probably have been his peak in terms of physical prowess balanced against experience in the ring.

Different kind of fighter when he came back.

Can't see Kamboses getting near Loma. Different levels. Unless Loma gets old in this fight but no sign of that against Haney.

Yep. Sadly true

I'm a Kambosos fan big time and hoped he could overcome an ageing Loma.

He was on another level and admittedly a joy to watch.

Several levels above.

Now it's just a question of what excuse Fury is going to use to postpone. I'm sticking with family crisis/mental health.

If they can somehow get the big dosser into the ring then I expect Usyk to deliver a boxing lesson.

After all this time it will be quite weird getting Fury actually in the mix. I wonder if whatever the result he will take the rematch? I think he will show for this one as his career is basically over if he doesn't.

When sorry if he looses I think it will be extremely hard for him to take and would predict a pretty long holiday and very much doubt he would go for another boxing lesson. If he won I think it would take everything he has and would probably want to put off a second go for as long as possible in fact he would probably retire.

I just can't see how he can beat Usyk but it's certainly the fight of the decade to look forward to. Fury will be trying to dig in every low blow and body shot he can get past the ref thats the only hope I see him having.
