If it is 6 months it will fly by - especially if you don't have to retake your test. Hopefully the link AGT has provided gives you some answers.

I was coming back from a rally in mid Wales and still had the numbers on the car. We had a good thrash for about 40 miles before he pulled me over.

Always remember standing there in the layby thinking "Im going to loose my licence", only for a Dolly Sprint to fly past and the Police man to wink and say "I'll go and race him now"

It was the mid 80's in Wales though, a bygone time
