Perhaps we need to change to format a bit so that it's not quite so 'corporate' but a bit more upmarket from fish and chips on the seafront?
I don't see a problem with £75 a ticket for a decent meal, etc. But realise there are other factors involved.
Perhaps something a bit more informal?I don't see a problem with £75 a ticket for a decent meal, etc. But realise there are other factors involved.

Not much interest in it I fear.
If PH get behind it, but not financially, more promotion, then we might have a chance.
As it stands, dead in the water I think.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you fellas. I’ve been in the sin-bin.If PH get behind it, but not financially, more promotion, then we might have a chance.

Alas TS, I think you are correct. And those that would be interested are probably spread too far apart geographically.

Yep, always remember Ted saying it was a loss maker. Given it was far from a cheap night then I am not sure at what price it would be worthwhile running the event. Personally, I would rather see the return of Pistonfest. Decent summer event with camping and loosely based around some sort of car racing event mini-LM style.

That’s not a bad idea. Hiring catering for a BBQ would likely be a lot cheaper as well.Personally, I would rather see the return of Pistonfest. Decent summer event with camping and loosely based around some sort of car racing event mini-LM style.
Yep I never went to one previosly, but would love to go one now.
I'm Midlands based, and have done a lot of nice black tie dinner events around here.
We had a great evening at Coombe Abbey Hotel for my 40th.

We have Nec and the resorts world complex, which has a great range of hotels, and lots of places to eat.

The belfry Hotel is a great location for a black tie event and very car club friendly, it is quite pricy though!

If you need any help with bookings more than happy to help.

This photo is from the evening of my 40th at Coombe Abbey, which makes me happy and sad in equal measures, my dear sister who is in this picture passed away back in 2005, and my best friend Ade, also in the picture passed away in 2017.I'm Midlands based, and have done a lot of nice black tie dinner events around here.

Happy Times and sad times all rolled into one.
The Genting hotel at resorts world is very very upmarket and has the bonus of lots of parking, in a secure covered multi-storey car park.
The hotel rates are about £140 for a double too.
And of course we Could all do a black tie trio
To the casino for late night laughs too!

And for a slightly odd choice, we had a Christmas in July black Tie event at the Holiday Inn hotel on the A45 close to Birmingham airport.
It was very reasonably priced and a surprisingly well catered for event too!

And my final suggestion for today, Hogarths hotel in Dorridge Solihull.
We had my 50th there, a great night in a private function room, really good food and a nice hotel too!

If it's a Pie event in the Midlands then it must be close to Melton Mowbray
