Yeah I failed the second moonshiner mission first time (where you rescue the guy from a prison wagon) because I actually ran out of bullets there were so many enemies... second attempt was a bit easier as it was in a different location, plus I'd filled up on every ammo before I started..
I just lost one life, also ran out of bullets for my repeater.

Got respawned at the other side of the river, hid behind a rock & picked them off one at a time with my revolver.

Took fking ages! rofl

The later ones where you're meant to sneak about are "impossible" (for me anyway), so just end up guns blazing & running around like a loony, which still counts, you just don't get the extra "bonuses".

Hadn't played this for a very long time, was still in Chapter 3. Had plenty of spare time after work the past couple of days so jumped back in, I can't believe that Saint Denis is a proper city, didn't even know that was in the game. Think I'm up to about 46% completion now, so well into it. I don't think I'll have the patience to 100% it, but I'll definitely complete the story and do some side activities.

Saint Denis really is a gem. I'd recommend messing around with the in-game camera and take some photos. Make the most of the incredible lighting.

I did similar to you in terms of completion and it was still a huge and time consuming game. The main story really is the biggest draw. It stayed with me for weeks.

RDR2 Online is being sold as a separate game from December, for about 5 bucks
Wonder if they will do the same for GTAV Online, not that it needs the sales but it will increase the sales of cash cards

They've literally made billions from GTA 5, still making millions a week more than 7 years after the original release date.

Totally opposite experience to the online portion of GTAV, everyone tends to keep to themselves, unlike GTV where you get sniped while flying a jet.. hehe

I spoke too soon.... took an arrow to the back of the skull the other day while trying to deliver some goods... by someone on Level 5478478 with a horse faster than the aforementioned fighter jet from GTAV. Got respawned on a lower road with my horse an hour away, gave chase for about 5 seconds before giving up.

Then this aft I got run over by someone in a carriage, didn't kill me, but was in Defensive mode so couldn't aim at him....

harump!

hehe

One thing I love and hate are the same time. Fishing. Love the actually hooking of one but the mechanics of it I find tedious and illogical. Plus my thumb hurts after a minute of winding in!
Just a tip, in settings you should be able to change the reeling function from having to use the thumbstick to just pressing a button instead,

Ok so I couldn’t find this in the settings or indeed on google. Just lots of advice on using your palm to wind in!

I think he might be talking about the full game, or at least I hope so.

I'm sure the supermarkets have been selling the full game for £20 for a while?

100% Story completed tonight. Fantastic story and with so many hours played. I am at 83% overall completion without looking up any spoilers or hints. Tempted to try for as near to 100% as possible but I feel like it will be impossible without hints. Anyone done 100%?

Yep, the game menus do tell you what you need to do but some of the collection parts like finding all the rare bird feathers and the like, whilst only contributing a fraction of a percentage towards the overall completion, might take many hours to do depending on how lucky you are and what the spawns are like. If I were going for it again I'd be trying to do all that in amongst the missions as it did get pretty tedious right at the end, even if I did work out optimal routes around the spawn areas to maximise my chances.

The completion in RDR2 is quite generous, you don't actually have to do 100% of everything e.g. there might be a +1% for skinning 10 animals, you don't have to skin every animal.

So there's 100% according to the game and 100% according to what can be done. Scan, track & perfect kill every animal (this is missable as there are some animals unique to Guarma and you have a very small window to find them). Do every mission. Ride and get to max bonding with every single coat of every horse. Craft something with every plant. Buy every item of clothing. Acquire all the unique hats. Find/acquire every single weapon. Find every unique item (like the shrunken head in a jar). Find all the points of interest. The game tracks most of this in the Compendium.

I played RDR2 through a second time recently (just finished), this time I tried to do all of everything as I went through. Took bleeding ages. The only thing I haven't done is the bloody parakeets, my life is too short to wait for that particular RNG to trigger.

Looking online there does appear to be one great unsolved mystery in RDR2 that apparently Rockstar claim is in the game...the third meteorite.

I haven't read every page but can anyone answer me this

Does this get better? I've recently started it after playing days gone many times and well to put it mildly I'm bored.

It's pretty but it's so slow paced and I'm already fed up of riding a horse and I'm barely in chapter 2.

Robbing the train was good but everything else just feels pure monotony.
