Just started playing this at the weekend as I needed something new, not too demanding on the old laptop, and preferably something which I can dip in and out of. So far I've racked up about 8 hours mainly playing with Cruisers but not really worked everything out properly so just stumbling through the screens. Done ok on lower tiers vs bots but wouldn't mind playing on higher levels against real opponents without getting annihilated within the first few minutes
Any useful hints or suggestions for decent guides/tutorials for newcomers would be welcome

First step is to build up your captain skills then start playing lower tiers vs real players. You will come across experienced players out clubbing newbies but treat it as a learning curve.Any useful hints or suggestions for decent guides/tutorials for newcomers would be welcome
Thanks. Yeah I've unlocked Tier 5 Cruisers and a couple of upgrades but realise getting enough XP to research more ships is going to be a grind. If I stick at it then I don't mind chucking a few quid at the game from time to time (if it's worth it), but would prefer to hold off until I know the game will hold my attention in the longer term. Definitely think more PvP battles needs to be my focus for now.
Have to say I'm pleasantly surprised at the performance, even on relatively modest graphic settings it looks stunning and runs very smoothly.

spend time at T5/6/7 in random battles playing light cruisers. It'll teach you how to survive and not get blapped in one salvo. The Omaha and the Fiji were my 2 most played boats in the early days.Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
