Saw this little number out yesterday.

Lovely but utterly ridiculous for road use! hehe

I won't fit, I bet it's loud, smelly, shakey and hot. I can't afford it (or the upkeep) but I still want it.

I like that too and looked into the Gardner Douglas version before common sense, school fees etc took over my life.

Also, there comes a point – for me it was driving a Makinen edition Evo 6 – where you realise that being optimised purely for speed slows you down, when driving on real roads. Well, has done for me anyway. Maybe also age. frown

A good 10+ years ago, the local prestige car dealership had a Sunday morning run out. I followed this car in my Lotus Omega. It was driven with plenty of vigour by its owner and sounded awesome. Unfortunately I never got to speak to him. The car was extremely patinated, as you can just about make out in the photos. Despite seemingly being registered on 27 January 1970 as a 302 cu inch Ford GT on the DVLA database, I cannot find any other mention or image of it on the internet. Does anyone know for certain what it really is?

Oh God, yes please... sperm

I think one of these would be a close second to a road-registered 917K for my 'ultimate road car'.

Lovely patinated 30/98 Vauxhall at Chatsworth this weekend. I can’t say I’ve ever seen a detachable hard top on a car this old. 1926 ish?

I know quite a few 30-98 owners and have never seen this car before. I'll ask the (Derbyshire based) guru about it.

GT Developments , GTD GT40 replica kit.
Build started 1986, finished in 1989.
Registered on an old log book by the look of it, which you could do years ago before DVLA tightened up the rules.

722 rarely leaves Stuttgart these days so that’s very special.

ok, not spotted on the street, but never knew this one existed, sounds very interesting and only 1 ever made, the next car from that man was so it seems a Ferrari 250GT Boano low roof.

see this Fiat Boano 1954 " only 1 made, has a aluminium body, not ready yet but they build it up.

also my question is, what car is it behind that one? the gold/yellow car a bit like a Trident but...?
or hm, a VW based euh (forgot the rest)

more of that Fiat>

Quite.

Lady VP is a guide at the abbey and just happened to be on shift yesterday, she started taking snaps and captured some great cars. She's got more if I can get her send them to me, the 250SWB is particularly nice.

“Who do you think you are, Stirling Moss?”

“No, he’s sitting next to me. I’m Denis Jenkinson. Pleased to meet you.”

No factory stickers on the tailgate so could be resprayed, does look exceptionally clean though.

Can't see from the picture if the factory spot welds are present on the rear arches, but I can't see any - plus the passenger side rear quarter looks off-colour to the door and front wing. MOT check says 69K miles so i'd be willing to bet the arches have been done at least once. Also is that overspray on the passenger side sill cover? Great driving cars, but golly did they like to rust.

It has received attention to the lower rear quarters and sills but it had been done to a good standard. It appears to be in regular use as i have spotted it previously. It presents very well in it's current condition and was nice to see that someone cares for it.

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. It's museum peice/artwork now, which is a shame. Id rather pay to see it pounding round a track.
