good picture, at least now you know for sure to change for say better cooling and different brake set up, or best brake fluid etc, which can stand very high heat and braided brake hoses, but then maybe those things you already had and need more track/race brake pads and or in the worse case, bigger brakes, but then you probably also need a bigger capacity brake cilinder or something like that... ooow the joy of doing track days :-)

I had a 1969 Mach 1 back in 1984, I was 19 at the time. It had a 390, auto box, drum brakes and no power steering !
Bought and sold for £1500.
Still my favorite shape.

The Gilbern Chevy GT at Donington last weekend. Another day when things did not go to plan, the Chevy overheated very quickly and after a few laps the brakes locked on. The continued learning curve.

Gilbern Chevy GT
Great photo.

Saw the car and had a chat with you on Sunday

Sorry you are still having problems with it

I will get there! The rad is out of the car at the moment, I'm going to cut out a chassis cross brace and reposition it, I will then be able to get a bigger rad made. I'm going to move the fan to the engine side and probably fit a fan shroud. I'm also going to change the water pump for a higher velocity version. The brakes should be a simple fix, we changed the master cylinder between the qual and the race, this generated the same problem, I think the connecting rod from the pedal is at the wrong angle causing the piston to seize.

While we’re on Jensens… at an owners club gathering at Horde Hill near Haywards Heath a couple of weeks ago.

Dad drove the Jensen, and as I fancied a drive out too, there’s my 66 Mustang on the end as an interloper.

After being too ill to touch this ol' thing since our last Van Jam, near enough a year ago, it was a milestone to be able to change the fuel pump, charge the battery and rumble out of the garage into the sunshine.
The sunlight through the red tinted roof light gave a lovely vibe...

Went for a drive…

Was a 2000km round trip, with an 800km motorway stint at either end - took it all in its 31yo stride and really was far better motorway cruiser than I thought it would be
