I do kinda get where you are with this one. I was just watching Sarries and the guy does have a hunger for the ball. Roko would not be a disappointment there either tbh
To me, it's partly down to that bloody splash dive thing he does. It's stupid, disrespectful to the opposition and sends the wrong message out to kids.Add to that the suspensions for eye gouging and biting, and he just seems like the poster boy for everything we don't want in rugby.

I had a very busy weekend and have just watched my recording of the Munster/Saries match.
I think the first half was magic. Had me on the edge of my seat. Really thrilling.
Had it not been for the first half being so good, I'd have said how great the second half was.
Superb rugby.
I wasn't sure about some of the decisions, but then, that's rugby.
It was a brilliant match.

Given the half time and full time scores, I'm surprised you have it that way round! Goes to show that the score isn't necessarily everything.I think the first half was magic. Had me on the edge of my seat. Really thrilling.

I didn't watch it, as I was off watching our first XV give away 14 points in the first 5 minutes of their "must win to avoid relegation" match before then charging back at a gallop to win by a country mile.
HERE THERE BE SPOILERS
Munster had all the possession and still couldn't make it. It was difficult to see why. Then Saries had a player carded, a bit harshly I reckon, but there'd been a few infringements. But still they stood firm.
My team had the worst season in living memory. 16 losses in the first 17 matches. We were never bottom as we kept getting bonus points, but we struggled, once losing to 0, something unique in club history. What seemed to galvanise the team was being in the 5m line of the other side, in overtime, with the other team infringing on every phase, clear as anything on the video, and then one of our injured players being slow to regain the line and being pinged. An absolute travesty. We were away of course.
We then won six out of the next seven, and the one we lost was against the rampant leader of the division and we came away with a point. We finished with a loss and a win, being ahead of third from the bottom by 11 points.
It has been one of the most exciting seasons I've witnessed. Highs and dreadful lows.
In the past we've been pushing promotion when defeat was seen as a disaster, and a four-pointer not being much better. That was not a lot of fun. The last third of this season however was exciting but with the expectation that the lads could not keep it up.
Sorry for my lack of faith, guys.

The Leinster/Clermont match was a real nail-biter too

There were three handling errors within a few seconds of one another and then the Kruis, I think, dropped the ball on the line. I thought then that they'd lose the match. I was about to say something of the sort to those watching with me but discretion, and a history of being wrong, stopped me.The Leinster/Clermont match was a real nail-biter too
Regarding being wrong, I was a big fan of Itoje but he's had some poor patches in matches of late. He gave away a penalty on the Saries 22. As soon as he moved towards the maul I knew he was going to be pinged for in at the side. It must be frustrating for a coach. I think the penalty kick was the one that was missed.
The match being over with 10 mins or so to go stopped it being a classic for me.
Being as we don't have a French Rugby League thread I guess this can go in here. Lifetime ban for Hedi Ouedjdik for knocking out a referee and breaking his jaw. Shocking video on the link, glad this kind of behaviour is a rarity.

Back's shove was quite clearly premeditated and malicious. Whereas Ruskin's was done out of frustration with the referee's positioning.
