I went to the Masters a few years ago and saw this fantastic escape by Joe Perry first hand: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdpVbnn4Dls
Great event and well worth going to. Put me off Jan Verhaas though. The atmosphere was really building but Jan seemed to think the most important person in the room was him. Not the audience, not the players, but him.
Great win by Murphy last night, loved the final black. I'd like to see him beat Ronnie but i doubt he will. He's just been too inconsistent over the last few years. An amazing player when he's on his A-game and great to watch. People associate Trump with exhibition shots, but not many people would play a shot like this in a frame where they're behind: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7GKVS-xACk

I thought Murphy played really well tonight in fairness to him, and it was a very entertaining game for me. It will be interesting to see how he gets on with Ronnie I reckon.
I love watching snooker for definite when I get the chance for sure(I've loved it ever since being a kid and I'm 50 now). I'd love to go and watch it live for certain.
Advance tickets went on pre-sale today for the 2025 Masters, the final is already sold out. Massively popular! Some of the mid-week sessions still available and only £28. ROS is a moron , but he is an unbelievable player---sublime.
really has some demonsAfter the match will be:
I'm depressed
I hate snooker
This venue is rubbish
The other players are rubbish and no better than club players down the snooker club in Chigwell after 15 pints of ale

the almost 90 degree cut from Allen to hold for position on the black was insane. That is probably a 1 in 20 shot
then the yellow with the rest
I know Ding's 147 was tidier, but Allen's was amazing to watch
I’m catching up with the match on iPlayer (and trying to avoid any spoilers for the ROS a game lol) but thought some of Allen’s shots were sublime to keep the break going. then the yellow with the rest

I actually had goosebumps towards the end when the crowd were cheering him on.

Not far off:
"I don't feel that old. I feel young in my mind. I feel a lot younger round the table when I play these younger players. They look old and their brains are quite slow. I still feel my brain is pretty quick round the snooker table, which is enough.
"They need to get their acts together because I am going blind, have got a dodgy arm and they still can't beat me."

The BBC are very brave, letting him speak live (when he has put his coat on...)
He did his interview after the Hawkins match slouched in his chair wearing a coat and sucking on a sweet. He looked and sounded a bit of a bellend tbh.Very uncouth as my old mum would say.

I suppose thats what makes a genius (?) you get the good with the bad.
He is a one off though.
100%. Undoubtedly the best ever.He is a one off though.
"Every genius has a touch of madness." Seems appropriate whenever Ronnie has a mic shoved under his nose.
No love lost between Carter and Ron, so could be an interesting final. Can’t see past Ron taking the spoils.
