Yes, it's good, but as you might expect not as good as the aged statements.
Crazy thing is that Amazon price is actual auction prices now, not one of the "stupid" ones.
Looks like someone is selling a Glenglassaugh collection off this month in one of the auctions. I remember few people liked them, although not sure what the feeling is after the issues with the casks! Might try and get a bottle or two.

Went through a bottle of Adnams Number 1 (2nd Release) over the Easter weekend with some friends. I'm still undecided on it and this is the second bottle that has been enjoyed. It would be nice to try some when it reaches 10 years old but I don't think that they have the capacity or space to leave anything that long. Still think the Number 2 is the better bottling and the second release should be released in 2016.
Hi there,
OK not technically my Whisky but my MD has had these delivered today.
He is a big fan of Macallan so when he was offered these he just had to order them in. Luckily we get them at cost price but that still doesn't stop the 1938 being well over £7000 inc the VAT. He has mentioned he might open it one day
All told he had 7 bottles delivered including: -
Macallan 1938
Macallan 1945
Macallan 1950
Glen Grant 40yo
Glen Grant 50yo (think he's had two of these, one to drink and one to store).
Linkwood 1970
Not a bad little selection.
Regards
Tim

Wow, I'd love to be at that tasting!
I've not bought much whisky recently, still drinking down my collection after discovering one or two that had turned. I'm finishing a bottle or two a week just now. Down to about 40 bottles I think!
By the time they're finished I hope I'll be on to Glenglassaugh octaves...

Did someone say Japanese whisky
NRS, if you like the Fusion then try some Intermdiate Sherry and the Portonova if you can find some. And on the topic of Indian whisky, Paul John. I cannot remember what bottles I have tried but there has not been a dud yet.
A friend is in Japan now and has picked up a bottle of something for me - no idea what but hopefully interesting! Sounds good, I will try and pick them up if I see them. There was a Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique in my local shop that I picked up the other day.

Aye that's right. Good stuff!
I found a bottle of Ardbeg Very Young that I must have bought new for about £35 in about 2005. I had a bottle at the time, can't decide whether to drink or sell!
I guess the answer is can you buy a bottle of something better or that you really want to try for the same price it would sell for? Unless you generally need money anyway of course.I found a bottle of Ardbeg Very Young that I must have bought new for about £35 in about 2005.
