True, all are distinctive, and heavily modified. Sure his reach would mean rewards for locating etc.

Personally, with his online presence and car collection there’s no way I’d be giving people a tour of my own home. I can’t imagine Kev would be much use against a gang looking to empty the place.
I would tend to agree.

It's not the work of a rocket scientist to find out where it is (not that I've tried)

I wouldn't be so concerned about gangs, who will likely go for less high profile targets. I'd be more worried about weirdos and just general hassle of people coming to my house.

IINM, Tavarish did a couple of videos on his new place in Florida, intending to show the renovation of it in addition to the car stuff. Then, some fans started showing up to the house (with innocent intentions) and I think he realised that showing your home online isn't a good idea and we never saw it again.

Yep. A couple of details they showed/discussed in the video means that anyone who knows the area is just one google search away from finding it. Fortunately I'm just a mildly nosy accountant, not a burglar. wink

I understand the reasons for posting the video, but it does create a risk.

Is there a big market in stealing repaired write-offs with questionable aftermarket wheels are wraps?
They're worth a lot of money in the Middle East or Africa, or in parts in the UK, so yes, I'd think there would be.
They're also incredibly well known cars and Mat's social media reach globally is huge so it's probably not worth the hassle.
If the cars end up in China or Nigeria, the new "owner" could post up a video showing "their" new collection and there would be F all Matt could do about it.

Not to mention that there's tens of thousands of GBP worth of parts in each car. People steal and strip old Audis for a fraction of the profit.

Some people might just know the previous owner. whistle

He has wooden gates just off the road so fairly secure, tbh I’d be more concerned about the travelling community where he is as it’s all farms or farm buildings, his next door neighbour was a moto cross rider, not sure if he still lives there as that farm was on the market pre Covid.

He’s literally 2 miles from his other dream home with the new garage. Thought I recognised the bridge he kept going under.

Well done to them I say, £1.6 mill house at their age, hard work does pay off.

I quite like the house stuff too, there are some people that do great house builds and renovations on YouTube anyway but some of the best to watch was Goonzquad when they bought a house and land on the mountain. The original house make over was about 50 episodes long and I couldn't stop watching it. Brilliant stuff.

Demo Ranchs abandoned mansion series was very watchable as well and I am sure he couldn't have gone as far as he did without the revenue from the views on that series.

what it comes down to for me is that watchable people are watchable almost no matter what they are doing, they bring you into the story and make it interesting, again Demo ranch had me watching a video the other day about digging soil out of a cave...

I think MA and his team fall into this as well, he even says in that house one he has no idea how long it will last or words to that which shows he has his feet firmly on the ground but while it is here he is going to enjoy it and good on them, I am not as keen on the Mk2 videos when he is not in them but when he films it for the main channel you sit there like you're almost in the unit next to the ramps.

Technique I guess, if the house renovation is on the channel as well then it will be interesting as I don't think for one minute think they'll leave it as is.

Personally I couldn't do any of that filming lark, then sitting editing it etc, it would drive me up the wall, no matter how much reward you get for it.

I also imagine you have to sit and plan out the filming before you have even lifted a spanner, make a draft and try to go with it, it can't be all off the cuff.

If you knew it would definitely make you a millionaire then maybe, but the vast majority of creators make very little or nothing out of it. It's a lot of hard work for a miniscule chance of success.

I’m pretty close to being done with thread.
Would it be possible to discuss something other than how much money he has / earns?

I’m the same. Matt (supposedly) is reading this and probably thinking what a load of dicks.

For me. I’m eagerly awaiting the mansory getting finished and the lambo rebuild properly starting.

Considering Mat's video essentially was a showcase of his success (Financial and life in general) I think it's pretty fair to discuss that success.

Also, no one is doxing (Posting his new address for example) which is the norm in the other vlogger thread.
