I do agree Russia will have all of Ukraine over time with massive loss of lives on both sides . Huge depletion of NATO stockpiles and the proof that most European countries are scared of Russia and rightly so . They are relentless and driven , evil and without fear .
All that the last two years have achieved is a greater amount of dead young men .Drip feeding Ukraine has just made it take longer .

Before the next post comes in I am stating the facts not supporting the Russian military by doing so .

That's simply wrong, had NATO stocks been drawn down prior to replenishment being possible the war may have been over by now, at the least there would have been no periods of shell drought. As it is NATO stocks are as healthy as ever they were and the ability to replenish them is greater than at any point since the end of the cold war.

This is just a russia stronk meme, russians are dying in their thousands because they're flesh and blood lead by inept and corrupt scumbags.

You are relieving the ukrainians of agency, which at the least is fabulously patronising.

Mostly opinion and demonstrably ill-informed opinion at that.

There is a significant difference between opinion and fact.

In this case I don't think there is a significant difference.

Don't you remember when the might of the glorious Red Army took 6 months to subdue a few thousand rebels armed with light weapons, having previously had the st kicked out of them by those same rebels?

Russia is reluctant to conscript from the larger towns and if they have so much artillery why are they buying from North Korea and why have they not used it? I know that at the start of the war they were out shelling Ukraine by 10 to 1 but believe this has fallen off.

Another factor in the war is economy, the spin is that Russian economy is doing just fine, but the interest rate has gone up to 16% ip from 7.5% from Jily last year. I read some reports that diesel prices have increased by 47% between end of 2023 and end of March others say fuel prices are stable, sonot sure what the situation is?

And they subdued the rebels by giving Chechnya defacto independence under one of the rebel leaders and vast amounts of cash year on year which they can't afford.

And every now and then that leader blackmails Russia with hints it might all kick off again and Putin eagerly makes more financial concessions.

And this is peak Russia. After 2024 Russia's effort will decline, they *plan* a reduction in military spending after this year - their economy is declining, not improving.

Anders Puck Neilson makes a pretty good point here:

What if Russia's plan is simply not a very good one? Firstly diluting your effort over a large front is not convenientionally good strategy, secondly if analysts can't even agree on what you're doing then maybe that's a sign that your plan isn't very good!

Large overnight attack on Russia using drones. Ukraine seems to be able to launch increasing amounts of drones into Russia.

Quite, I am more optimistic, the Russians were beaten in Afghanistan and that did not affect the homeland, now we have Ukrainian drones ranging all over Russia taking out refineries, refineries that they will struggle to get going again without western components, this is going to hurt Russia,
the Russians see the west stepping up supplies and no end in sight make no mistake its hurting them.

It’s possible they’ve had the ability for some time, but the concern over getting the required support form the USA tied their hands, somewhat. Now that’s agreed, the gloves are off.

Possibly so, i think they've managed to increase production to the point where they can regularly launch 100+ drones frequently.

I'm guessing they'd like to get to the point where they can do that many every night.

US have also made a few more supportive noises recently about attacking into Russia, in general.

IMHO Ukraine should do more targeted attacks on Russia.

They cant hide power stations etc being bliwn up from the public if done at scake.

Steer clear if civilians tho

These are possibly the best weapon Russia have for their horrible warfare methods. Cheap and destructive.

Can NATO kit mess with their guidance or Ilraine target the airfields the fighters use?
