No comment, but I dont brag about speeding. Are you a criminal?
No comment? Seriously? What a cop out.
Are you a criminal? You didn't answer at all. Cop out?
I break the law pretty much every time I use my car or motorcycle; much less so when I'm on a bicycle. In that I'd say I'm fairly typical. And not copping out like you.

You've answered the question now, so thanks. I'm not part of the lawless WE that another poster claimed to represent.

You drive and never break the law?
You are probably unique. Or fibbing.

Cyclists using the pavement can be OK (yes I know it is against the law) but most cyclists do so recklessly, they cycle to fast, to near pedestrians, in to crowded areas and on paths that are not wide enough.
Not round me they don’t, I’ve never seen such behaviour. Where do you live?
Same here. Central London, where I work, and Oxford, where I live, both have high levels of cyclists. The vast majority of people cycling in pedestrian areas do so slowly. They shouldn’t, but I don’t often see people doing in a fast or dangerous way. Even where Oxford City Council have pedestrianised and put significant blockages (in the form of planters and outdoor cafe seating) right across a 50m stretch of a national cycle route… shows how much they actually support active transport.

Is that London? I haven't been there much of late, but where I have been, inc Europe of course, I don't recognise at all your recognition of cycling on pavements.

To say "most cyclists do so recklessly " is 100% the complete opposite of my experience.

I've been close passed frequently by cars when cycling, in my 66 years I have been close passed by a cyclist once when walking. (In London).

Thanks again, you're very kind. If you ever decide to give an honest answer I can reappraise.

Can’t say I have ever been buzzed by a cyclist on foot, seen the odd food delivery guys and some teenagers going a bit fast when people are about but it’s pretty rare, actual “cyclists” tend to be very careful.

It is possible to ride on pavements and not kill anyone, hence shared use paths, as a 200 odd pound lump on a bike I am very cautious and aware of the damage I could do if I hit someone on foot, so it’s “pit lane limiter” if there are folk about, cycle at walking pace and defer, be courteous, take no chances.

It’s weird how some react, fair enough if they are a danger but some seem to object as “cyclists” and it’s any way to have a moan, same people then park a car not eh pavement or put a wheel up to get through and drive along, which is way more dangerous.
