Getting in partnership with big breweries is exactly how you get beer into pubs and shops.
Absolutely!JW’s position throughout has been consistent as far as
I have seen - a distribution deal with Heineken, not a sale.
Whether people believe that or not is of course up to them, but to post a sale to Heineken as fact repeatedly is another matter.

EDIT - Also, JW threatened to take legal action against the BBC in response to the program and it's claims. So far (as far as I can tell) there is no evidence of any legal action being taken. If it was so easy to disprove the BBC's allegations then why has it taken 6 months to even start the process?
I missed the edit. Edited by Condi on Monday 18th July 09:07
There is a complaint with Ofcom.

The BBC had to edit parts out of the programme before it was first shown as they were proven wrong. They have made changes to the programme since it was first broadcast. There are still so many things that are completely wrong. The programme creators are reduced to technicalities, being pedantic and squabbling over trivial things.
Regardless of what you think about BD or JW there is something seriously wrong with the BBC's focus and mudslinging. Most of the things they report as news are perfectly normal or happen at every other company.

He has recently said he is taking legal action against individuals which limits what he can say - he says this in the Steven B. podcast and some posts have been removed on the shareholder forum as they were apparently contempt of court.
what was removed? anything interesting?Jambo85 said:

Steven is coming under fire from the BD haters for hosting that interview. I thought it was a good watch, but the usual mob went out of their way to distort what was said and discredit SB and JW. There was a number of articles removed from various news outlets after they totally distorted the interview.
On the criminality front. I'm sure there will be far more than we will ever learn about. There are plenty of people out there obsessed with causing harm to BD. Some of the ex employees that left nearing 10 years ago still devote their lives to chasing after BD. It's really extreme behaviour.

Nobody has suggested selling the whole business, except JW because he can legitimately deny that. An investment however is a different matter and it appears likely that it was discussed as part of a wider deal. Brewdog does have 1 large investment fund who own 22% of the business, so it's not unprecedented. Condi said:

An update on the gold can saga; no it probably won't make much difference to the share price but I seem to remember it had been discussed here. Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere.

The same article was posted in one the other BD threads a couple of days ago. It's not an update, it's just the news outlets running an old story as JW posted it again on his LinkedIn. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-64210355.amp
Yet they keep building hotels and bars in cities around the world, I was gifted a small amount of shares in 2014, held onto them as you can only trade within their community.
I don't actually like their products or one of the two guys that effectively own it.
I would not be surprised to see them going bankrupt in the future, don't want them too but they are a strangely run business.
