Lovely house but lousy location, make a good boutique B&B run under management for one nighters touring the SW on their European vacations.

Lovely house, brilliant ruined Mill as your back garden but dare I say there is no parking? There are double gates up the road to the left of the house but a full height kerb, and the grassed lane leading to the end of the Mill seems to show a house built on the end of it restricting access that way too.

Errr - is that a price typo??? £800k???? Surely its missing a digit (or two) off the front of the price?

confused

EDIT - ok so only a "patio" of their own outside, but has use of all of the landscaped gardens / grounds with no need to maintain them yourself. Service charge is a very reasonable £155 p/m too. Still mindblowingly good value for a sizeable 7000sqft chunk /7 bedroom of grade2 listed mansion with your own indoor pool! Wowser....

It’s just a part of the big house.

Just a 7000 sqft part with 7 bedrooms and your own indoor pool, gym and sauna! Thats some serious “part”.....

The house linked before was a semi, which is "just a part" of a big house too. Some serious bargain, even if it is "just a part". Id wager 7000sqft part is bigger than 99% of PH'ers homes who own the whole thing biggrin

price looks right tho - its on the PDF too.

Wonderful… what’s the catch?
Dunno, I looked but there may be keener eyes than ours out there?
It's a semi.

As far as catches go, it's not all upside having a listed feature in your garden, assuming that's part of the listing.
I believe in rare circumstances the council can issue an urgent works or repairs notice to preserve listed features in danger of being lost.
If you chose not to comply, they can undertake the work themselves and may attempt to recover the costs from the owner.
Compulsory purchase is also an option for them, as a last resort.

Don’t worry if can’t afford it, you can stay at the national park campsite just up the road along with the 3 million people other that were there for the bank holiday last weekend. Almost the same. Oh.
I’m often up that way as local to me and its amazing how much these places list for now considering what they really offer, but as it might just be the most famous valley in the Lakes and there won’t be more built so agents happy to ‘go large’ with starting prices particularly since covid.
I’d like it, but oh dear that house name has to go.

lol very true!

Imagine that bathroom on a late night after a very boozy night out.

"Just going to the loo, won't be long..."

"Thump - arrrggghhh"

"Are you OK?"

"Hello, are you OK?????"......"

"uhhhhhhh...."

So the only entrances are into the kitchen or the family room?

How about a house in Nidderdale ? I drive past it regularly and it's a nice place to be.
