It says “Huelva” so I guess it’s there?

Yes. Huelva, Spain. Sorry, I didn't think the writing was legible... And yes, the link to the UK is that it's the military grave of a Welshman who helped confuse the Germans about WW2 invasion plans in the Mediterranean. The Welshman was a civilian and never knew how much he helped as he was already dead. A film was made about it fairly recently - Operation Mincemeat.

Nope. It's a pointless tower.
Even that as a hint and I'm shocked at how long it took.
Why?
I don't know anyone else's excuse, but as I said with the correct answer; I am an idiot for not thinking it through.

The clues were absolutely about a folly and ultimately narrowed down to Oxfordshire, but I kept thinking 'what other folly is there round here?' The picture was a bit subtle in sort of looking like it was by the entrance, when it is actually at the top of the tower in the belvedere room. Which I've only been to once, several years ago, as climbing the tower would be extremely painful due to a degenerative muscle issue, hence I only volunteer at the bottom.
Pretty much this. From the first picture 'tower'. The overall design and the sign itself being somewhat whimsical, made me think folly immediately. From that I had to resort to google as I said - which I felt disqualified me (It's been a long time since I've been to a folly-probably 30 years). Regardless, I found it in a couple of minutes, so I was just surprised that it took so many guesses.

Then again I've not got a damn clue for 98% of the locations here, so what do I know....

Looks a lot like Gothenburg- the paddan boat trips through the centre of the city... but I think your photo looks like the boats and river/canal are on a much bigger scale!

Ok, try this. It's obscure so I'll also let you have it if you know what it is...

Nope, it's been moved twice and currently lives in a graveyard in a group of historical buildings.
