could be decent!
One of the reasons last night's was seemingly so strong is one CME caught up another one and combined as it hit Earth, wonder if it will be as strong without that happening.

I think cloud is going to be the enemy tonight. Things are shaping up in a promising way on the Aurora Watch UK app, but it won't matter if it's cloudy!

In 25yrs of working in the sky it was the best I've seen. I was lucky to be over the Atlantic last night. Really awesome.

Is it possible to take a low light level time lapse video with an iPhone?

There's an iPhone app called Hyperlapse which I'm going to have a play with if the lights are visible again tonight.

Camera charged
Suitable spot chosen about half an hour off the M6
Car fully charged.

That all sounds a bit weird... just to be clear this is for astronomical purposes... smile

Only snag now is cloud cover is c.75%.. if it gets worse I wont bother. But I hope it might clear..

I was undecided whether to have a beer in the garden or to drive out somewhere later to try to get a better view.

Looks like I might have made the right call.

It’s gone back up again into red zone 560 smile

It’ll be cloud cover that really scuppers any viewing.

Sat in my garden looking up at the stars in a lovely clear sky, no hints of any aurora at the moment.

Using the Aurora Watch UK readings and it says it was 403 at 22:12 in the UK

Back in the red but the map is showing nothing and the 30 Minute OVATION map is just a narrow band of green.

Just walked the dogs and walked past the farmers field I went to last night, must be 30+ cars dumped around the area tonight and people sitting in deck chairs etc. Nothing here in MK at the moment. What apps are people using?
