Sprinter auto vs Iveco Daily Himatic
Discussion
Afternoon Folks,
Long time lurker looking for some experienced input.
I am in a position with my company where I need to upgrade to a large van of Sprinter/Iveco MWB sizes in automatic format to achieve a 3m load length. Possibly high roof as standing in a van is much nicer than stooping and I believe once you get to these size vans the low roof variants offer little benefit as they seem to be above the usual car park barrier height restrictions anyway so may as well go high roof? Although I am open to either really as roof racks can come in handy on the lower roof models.
My main priorities are reliability first, comfort and running costs second.
The Sprinter always seems to come up as a typical favourite but I quite like the look of the Iveco Daily from 2016 onwards and avoiding the Agile box so the Himatic box only.
Having seen posts in the past where we have fleet managers on here that there will be some with experience of both that can help me decide between the two?
Thanks in advance knowledge bank!

I bought a new MB Sprinter 317 premium L2H2 auto in March.
Fantastic van, well spec'd, very quiet, very quick, very comfy and pulls the tipping trailer with a few tonne in it like it wasn't towing anything.
Does around 32mpg average.
Cost around £52k+vat, but with colour, spec and averaging 8k miles a year it should still have a decent worth in 4yrs time.
I would definately recommend one.

I've got a 2019 Iveco with an 8 speed himatic and various Sprinters from 2012 upto 2021 all with auto gearboxes. The Iveco autobox is good but I have to put up with terrible dealer after service and more adblue/regen/emissions faults than I care to remember! Get a Sprinter auto you will be well pleased with it.
