Flávio spotted with the Horners at the weekend.. Enstone takeover?
He's Alonso's manager. I doubt Alonso would have a problem taking Verstappen's seat next year.If (big if) Max goes to Mercedes, and Red Bull implodes on that and whatever happens around Horner, that probably means Alonso is going to sign for Red Bull and they immediately become st, with the upcoming 2026 Ford engine being a boat anchor for good measure, carrying on the trend of Alonso moving to the wrong team and not winning a championship .

I remember Clarkson saying on Top Gear that he was at school with Newey. "Oh speccy Newey, yeah he'll be in the metal shop- where will that get him? Now he's travelling the world on his yaught and he just takes his wallet..."

They both hated it apparently. I enjoyed it, but i was there ten years later. "Oh speccy Newey, yeah he'll be in the metal shop- where will that get him? Now he's travelling the world on his yaught and he just takes his wallet..."

It seems to be a lot of fuss over nothing. One senior guy with no prior F1 links has left, so what?https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/major-audi-saub...
After today’s race the talk is all about Ollie Bearman, a lot of positive talk and definitely well-deserved given his performance today.
I think the day of reckoning has to come for some of the older hands such as Bottas, along with some underachievers: Zhou, Tsunoda, Sargeant surely can’t hold onto their seats for next year.
And some real talent on the sidelines waiting: Lawson, speculation about Antonelli at Mercedes… on it goes. Might be a lot of new faces next season!

Antonelli has been bang average so far, there’s no way on current showing he’s getting the Mercedes seat.
Bearman though, he must have got the whole paddock talking! Elkman looked mega pleased-presumably he already has his signiture and is now just waiting to see where he places him for a couple of years?

Bearman is being way over-hyped. His double F4 season notwithstanding, he's been fairly unremarkable in single seaters so far, perhaps marked out for getting himself into needless penalties trouble. Last year he was well beaten by his team mate. Bearman though, he must have got the whole paddock talking! Yes, he had little practice in Saudi before having to qualify, but he was in the second fastest car overall and managed a steady if not remarkable performance without interacting with too many other drivers during the race.
I think the plaudits should wait until he's done a season in F1 (if he gets that far).

Agreed, my yard stick is always the first year in f2. If a driver can win or challenge for the title against another f2 rookie they might just be f1 quality
I used to think that way, but the new, younger crop of drivers is changing everything I thought about how you needed to progress into F1.Being a standout star in the lower formula really isn’t a guarantee of being a good F1 driver now-not that it can be completely ignored of course.
