And beyond the F1 car, he will surely get the chance to design a road going Ferrari.

They'd be mad not to entice him with that.
La Ferrari 'Adrian' biggrin

My guess is when they are ready to make the big "Newey" announcement, it will by more than a social media post on a Friday lunchtime.
Why not? Didn't they do that with Hamilton?

It's very gentlemanly racing and a few of the cars in front of him withdrew. Noticed he was wearing Red Bull overalls hehe

Whoops, posted this on the wrong thread by mistake.

Adrian seemed to be having fun yesterday, racing his old Lotus 49 at the Monaco Historic.

Weekend to build a picture of the Newey.
Nice yutube about his Oyster. (Boat not card). Racing his vintage F1 car at Monoco .
2024-25 I feel he will be cruising around the world and moor up now and again when an idea forms and put it on paper.
I think ferrari people will fly in now and again to where he is stopped for a nice chat on what they are doing and his ideas.
No way he will be doing 9-5 job at a factory unless he gets seasick or something lol.

Whatever the deal is at Ferrari, I agree he won't be on a 9-5 slog. He's already moved way from that at RBR many years ago. Obviously he attended most races but.. he loves it so why would you not.

His wife has been shopping for a house near Marenello so I expect his base will be fairly convenient for the factory smile

I think it was Brundle who mentioned that Newey's contract at Red Bull was already just 150 days a year.

How long does he need to design the concept of a car for the new regs? He'll have a huge team of designers under him to do the detail grunt work. He just needs to point them in the right direction.

Apparently Amanda was seen visiting houses in the area, variously reported at the time.

She was in the area - possibly it's just a massive coincidence of course smile

From my experience it's about holding onto an overall design direction and also keeping tabs on what the teams are developing and what is worth committing too and what needs to be sacked off.

There has to be one person with a solid vision that can direct the efforts of everyone else.

Along with a confirmed spotting of Adrian in April.

Of course there's no hard evidence, you'll never get that. But it's ok to make the odd assumption. I think he's done the deal and will soon be announced at Ferrari.

What do you think, if you were asked to speculate, as I am doing?

Which begs the question, is he taking some of his team from RB? Has anything been reported re this? Otherwise
it'll be a challenge directing an Italian design team on a part time basis.

It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Rory Byrne has apparently been consulting on the 2024 car, which suggests that Cardile is open to collaborating. Seems much less political at the moment with Elkann ensuring that Vasseur is left to get on with things.
