That looks like the typical tat that PH are "curating" for their not very popular Auction website.....
who says its not very popular ? cars seem to be selling for very strong money on the auction site (for fairly ordinary cars).Edited by Nish Gnackers on Monday 20th May 20:21
This is absolutely not a £6k car. £3k at best I'd say. Miles are too high for a collection classic, and Project Drive stripped the second gen of so many things it'll be dire inside. Shed money with average miles, add a bit for the low usage, but at the end of the day, handling or not, it's not a great car and certainly not a six grander.
I've always liked "normal" cars with a 6 cylinder engine stuffed in them so I can see the appeal.
Things like V6 Cavaliers, ST Mondeos, Golf R32, BMW 325ti, Alfa 156 GTA, etc.
But £6K for this seems like £3K too much to me. Then again everything older looks expensive these days, apart from my old 3 Series of course!

Vile then, vile now…..the rose-tinted spectacles of nostalgia some people wear are staggering to me. Pass the sick bag ??
So vile that the entire motoring press praised it for being a great handling car. You can't complain about rose-tinted spectacles while ignoring the fact it was actually a well-regarded car in many respects.itcaptainslow said:

Isn't the road tax silly money on one of these,if I'm correct it's saying £710 a year??
2005 on cars. The (later) heater controls ended up in a Pagani Zonda I believe. Had a couple of these ZS 180's many moons ago and they were properly good to drive if not bloody thirsty. The rear suspension was multi link set up from Honda and it was very well engineered. Really surprised a lot of people. I'd be lambasted by my peers but that is very tempting at that price albeit the last one I bought because I was doing DIY and it had a tow bar and I could whack the trailer on it - same mileage and i paid £500! The previous model one was bought in 2010 for the princely some of £1395 with just 13k on it. Madness !
Yeah, they were on the Zonda, if memory serves.
The ZS was a very underrated car, the 120, whilst only being a 1.8 was a superb handling car and the 180 had the awesome V6 sound track. They're fun cars to chuck around the B roads.
That said, £6K? Really? For a non-monogram car (the versions with OEM funky paint jobs are much more desirable), that's a lot. There are a lot of cars you could get for £6K, you'd have to *really* want that specific ZS to hand over 6K for one.

2005 on cars. Was taken out in one at Thruxton, the instructor loved it. Ever since have fancied one for a Sunday/track blast, been watching this one for a year, but even with my naive knowledge thought the price was mad - http://www.burtoncaravansales.co.uk/listings/mg-zs...
