A couple of nice looking comforts have been hanging around for a while, anyone know any background on these two?

dont know the cars in question but to many prospective buyers they are 'high' mileage and not CS
with spring around the corner if i was in the market id be waiting for more to come on and to see how much an equivalent CS would cost before deciding whether to pony up the extra 10k (as it was when i bought mine about 6 years ago) difference for a CS over a non-CS

Mileage is par for course on this age, but above ‘collector’ levels.https://www.auto100.co.uk/used-car-details/used-po...

There is absolutely nothing wrong with comfort spec, unless you really want to track a lot, in which case buckets are essential. For road trips and touring, comfort is great, but you always sell a clubsport easier.
Whatever you buy, get an inspection done, if it’s not from one of the known, trusted Porsche GT specialists.

anyone know the number of UK Clubsport Vs Comfort ?
Is it not the case that there is no such thing as a 997 GT3 ‘comfort’ or GT3 ‘club sport’ ?I thought Porsche created one model, and the ‘club sport’ pack simply optimised certain features for track use. And the term ‘comfort’ is a PH evolved expression for cars that don’t have the ‘cs’ pack?

Yes you're right, let me re-phrase it.I thought Porsche created one model, and the ‘club sport’ pack simply optimised certain features for track use. And the term ‘comfort’ is a PH evolved expression for cars that don’t have the ‘cs’ pack?
Anyone know how many were supplied with the CS option pack?

A question that has been asked many times before I believe without any definitive answer.Anyone know how many were supplied with the CS option pack?
I know Reading (PCGB) were approached but could not supply the numbers.
True to assume however that CS option was the minority.
I recall that the 03 Clubsport package included a drivers harness, rear roll cage and fire extinguisher in the passenger footwell ... and it was a no cost option on the GT3 ... though a cost option on the 981GT4 (which took me by surprise when I bought mine). Hence a reason why "clubsport" optioned 981GT4's are fairly scarce. Fitting a roll cage to a non 03 GT4 was a real PITA because the shell in white did not have the mounting points ...
Hence there was some value in the free 03 option on GT3's and a reason why there were more of them ... and strangely the flexibility of the non-03 option was partially lost once the folding bucket seats were no longer available in the later GT3's.

My understanding is if was a no cost option if you had optioned the carbon buckets?Hence there was some value in the free 03 option on GT3's and a reason why there were more of them ... and strangely the flexibility of the non-03 option was partially lost once the folding bucket seats were no longer available in the later GT3's.

There’s a red herring in the brochure around battery cut off, supposedly the 997 GT3 Clubsport has this but I don’t believe it does… Possibly a cut and paste error by the marketing department intern, from the 996 GT3 brochure

Correct, also the Clubsport option gave different door cards too, minus door bins. Weight saving must be massive from that
Different door cards because with teh carbon buckets, the side airbags are in doors, rather than seatback on comfort seats. The lack of door bin storage is the one thing that's really a minus over my old 996 turbo.rrroro said:

Yes, I have never seen a 997.1 with one factroy standard. Do they actually exist?...Digga said:

And nor do UK spec 997 RS… However euro spec 997 RS’s do seem to have it. Was this as standard? Stu do you know if your car left the factory like this, or was it a mod?
