The colour scheme is just about perfect, enjoy every mile in it. If you get bored of it or think it may be slightly under used over the winter or just need someone to take it out once a week to keep the battery topped up, I am available at very short notice.

lovely, have fun with it while its dry and not to cold temps.
btw how does such gearstick combo shifts? is it precise/short?(although a long stick) and not sloppy like some old cars have? I guess not modern porsche 911 click clack short, but just wondering, as I see more builds with such sort gearstick box, I forgot how it was when I had my old 1976 Carrera 3.0 long time ago with its standard setup and rubber sock or how you call that.
So I have no idea :-) is it precise nice shift or ?
It is a 915 gearbox with 6 speeds and so it has different feel than say a G50 or more recent Porsche boxes with short, stubby levers and a “snickety” change action. It is however quite precise and once you get to know it, the shifts slot in. btw how does such gearstick combo shifts? is it precise/short?(although a long stick) and not sloppy like some old cars have? Because reverse works off a separate lever, you have to be very much awake when doing reversing manoeuvres as otherwise it is possible to engage reverse and a forward gear at the same time. But it is a small compromise to get 6 forward gears into the lightweight magnesium casing.
It looks beautiful ... do you have the finished weight ? I guess the original would have been around 1050 kilos ...
Also, is the engine bench run-in or will you have that pleasure (I quite like the chance of getting to know a car in this way) .... and if so, did Tuthills make any recommendation ?
Yummy

The car was weighed with half a tank (50l) as 845kg.
Been out again today, it is dirty and I will need to clean the poor thing tomorrow morning.
The engine was run in on the dyno and then in the mule car with the gearbox. That said, the roads are cold and wet and perhaps unpredictable with ice patches or fallen leaves under overhanging trees. So I am taking it sensibly and also getting to know the car. Absolutely loving it. A massive massive sensory experience.

Congratualtions - That looks absolutely fantastic, and even better with a bit of road grime on it. The detials are just sublime.
Tuthll aren't too far from me so often see their development cars running around. Also seen Richard out in the Cali-registered 911K - he doesn't hang around and the sound the thing makes is other worldly.
