What would people be looking at if they wanted a 2024 equivalent of an early 2000s Impreza Sti?

Saloon, hatch or estate ok.

Manual petrol for preference.
Don't really mind if it's pcp or CH.

Thanks in advance

Should have been clearer that I meant in terms of interesting lease deals, rather than a cash purchase

Are misprinted prices ever honoured or is that rarely the case?
VW did with the alltrack

I believe there was a BMW 8 Series GC from just before Covid that was also honoured.

LeaseLoco had this:

Volkswagen Tiguan 1.5 eTSI 150 R-Line 5dr DSG

1+24, 5000, £293.90.

Thought it was a pretty cracking deal for the times?
I managed to find it on the direct website and put an application in, was a clear misprice so not getting any hopes up of it being honoured.

Worth a try isn't it. Got an application in too, not heard anything as of yet though.

- Confirmed mispricing as expected

Maybe a daft question, but when you put the application in isn’t that doing a credit check as well?

Unless it's a real shady lender that gives out loans without even doing that one simple check, yeah biggrin

Same here however they have sent me through some quotes which are beating elsewhere.

£379pm on a 1+23 with 8k Miles. The best on Leaseloco on them terms is £446pm.

I was interested in this car before this misprice so think I'm going to go ahead and order.

Yeah the 840 was honoured. What a deal it was.

Hi all!

pulled the trigger on the Tesla Y lease deal (tesla direct) - but now is the quandary of getting a home charger - any suggestions or recommendations? (i know this was discussed somewhere in the lease thread)

Also have switched to octopus energy so will move over to one of their EV tariffs!

thanks all
Just get a very basic 32amp blue comando socket.
6mm armour cable.
Octopus will communicate directly to your Tesla for all smart charging.
Be prepared to have an awesome car, run on virtually zero costs

If you are going with Octopus intelligence then I would go with a charger that works with that tariff rather than the car.
I have a ipace and got a ID Buzz on the lease deal at Christmas so the Wallbox Pulsar plus was the choice for me. It integrates into the tariff so that no matter which car I plug in that the charger works with the tariff to decide the charging schedule.
Octopus and Tesla aren’t integrating well at the moment so I would head towards the Wallbox.

Any queries just ask and I’ll try to help.
What are you on about ???
Octopus and Tesla are made for each other, and work like hand in glove.
Great integration.

Two unsmart Rolecs. Tesla does the smart bit with delayed charge via the app. Been 100% reliable in last 11 years.
This exactly.
Buy a dumb power outlet, let your Tesla be smart bit.

I got that an email on that car from Central today - £287.99, but that's with £3600 up front.

No idea what would be normal but I did read there are already a couple of thousand unsold mk3 Tiguans in the UK - supposedly it's not selling well.

My lease is due back next month, quick question:

Do you wash the car?
Do you vacuum the car?
How much fuel do you leave?

I remember when i used to get hire cars, i would hand it back cleaned and fuelled, when one day one of the staff told me i didn't need to do that as they washed and cleaned the vehicles themselves!

Just wondering what the requirements are for leases.
