I came to the same conclusion. Have a play around with your configurations though. I've ordered an Edition 1, with pearl paint, nappa leather, and panoramic roof, for on £50 a month more. This model is pretty much fully loaded.3yrs 30k miles sline Quattro is £754 net per mth.

Beauty is in the eye if the beholder! I find the looks quite challenging. It was one of the main reasons, along with the lack of standard equipment, that made me go with the Audi Q6. Edited by rudester on Thursday 16th May 14:49
The next few weeks/months are going to be interesting - probably in a bad way. Quite a few of the more recent car reviews in the motoring press are starting to comment on the latest European requirement for mandatory speed limiter gongs, limiters (Intelligent Speed Assist), and how damn annoying it is.
Yes, it can be deactivated via the touchscreen but it defaults to on every time you start up. It might be worth asking if the salesman has deactivated anything before he brings your shiny Macan EV (or any other vehicle for that matter) test drive vehicle around to the front of the dealership.
You wouldn't want to be buying something that'd end up doing your head in from the first day of collection.

Off topic but you can see a time coming when these systems will auto-report to the authorities if you're speeding outside certain parameters or continue above the speed limit for 30 secs or so - just like many company vehicle fleet tracking systems presently do to the lucky driver's relevant supervisor. They also record and report excessive g-force in cornering and braking.

Got to see the Macan EV for the first time yesterday, at the Porsche Dream Electric event.
Have to say, having not been overly impressed by the pics i'd seen of it, in person its a very nice looking car. Looks a bit bigger than Macan it replaces and felt a quite a bit roomier inside, especially in the back.
New Taycan isnt that much different from the out going one.
The Taycan GT is a stunning looking car, especially in that colour.
They put on a great drone show as well, a shame the weather was terrible!
