Another great race and a superb yet very unexpected decision to resume the race after the Bamber crash. It still felt like the race flew by all too quickly! Amazing to see Spa completely un-moistened for that length of time.

Does anyone know how the BoP may unfold for Le Mans? Looking at the changes for Spa it seemed a little strange. Added weight for the Isotta, really?? Toyota won yet Ferrari got the bigger weight penalty.

The Ferrari was the fastest car at Imola even if they didn't convert it to a win. Same as Spa. I'd think for Le Mans they will be slowed down because if they get their strategy right (or more accurately don't mess it up) they will drive away from everybody else over 24 hours.

Toyota might be sped back up. I think other than that they have it about right now.

I don't really know about IF. They're the new Vanwall.

I'd say the porky 963s need to be slowed down also.

He could have backed out of it. He wanted the position and misjudged the gap. A penalty is fair as it was a mistake that resulted in a big collision.
Quite impressed that the catch fencing to the inside of the circuit maintained its integrity and did its job. Watching it live I was worried that there were marshals directly behind the fencing but thankfully not.

I’ve a nasty feeling that a similar accident at 250kph on the Mulsanne would have seen the Cady vaulting that wobbly line of French Armco & heading into the trees….

I looked at that wall and fence walking into the track one morning and thought how nice and shiny and new it looked, probably just as well it's been renewed recently

Watching the footage, hadn't clocked the change to Le Source until now, when did that change with the gravel trap on outside stopping people just running wide?

Don't recall it being like that for F1 last year...but every chance I'm wrong, if not makes that first turn a bit more interesting

All the gravel traps were added to allow running the motorcycle 24hr endurance races.

Though the 24hr event is now an 8hr, after just two years.

Also, watching the pilots flip-flop through and over the crest of Eau Rouge is quite something to watch.

Spa was a simply epic race.

Mainly gutted for Proton, who i think could have won it. The crown of first privateer win is a big orize!

Not to take away from Jota, who are amazing too - i'll never forget the tense "will they won't they?" Trackside the year of the 40 degree tent - to have beaten all but 1 factory cars in an lmp2 is still cool!

Of course, maybe if bamber hadn't skittled, he was flying in that caddy. I think the ferraris were in general tyre limited late on - caddy, proton, ferrari would have been a great thing.

Roll on the 24! Can't wait!!
