I don't know about that - it is not like my FF is suddenly worth more because the Purosangue costs half a mil ....
I do think the F12 is more attractive than the 812 though, so in the long run I think it might be worth more
Is the Purosangue a replacement for Lusso/FF line? Thought it was a totally new segment and customer?I do think the F12 is more attractive than the 812 though, so in the long run I think it might be worth more

which Ferrari? I don't know, although a fine 458 would not be bad, many people who owned that and the later ones found the 458 more driving-fun/pure?
so I guess in time those with low mileage will not lose like say the 488 does? they will probably in time go up because NA and good power.
other then a Ferrari, a Artega GT for example, just 153 made all in by a respectful maker Henrik Fisker I believe.
they are compact around 4 meter by 2 meter almost and low-ish , so they look wide low and cool, they have a nice sound VR6 300hp DSG around 1160kg or so.
the first 99 were supposed to be the most rare examples... but only 153 were made, so guess what lol, and ow, fine seats and steering and so on, I test drove one back in 2008-9 or so.
but still a bit unknown German car, they also raced with a few and a Nürburgring rent car, the later ones are the best updated, although a lot owners updated also the early examples.
prices because unknown (still) from 50k to just over 100k those were from collectors gold diggers ;-) with say around 1.000km
this late registered example 2014 is 85k or so,

Biggest cost for buying a supercar is depreciation. McLaren 12c has not moved price in the last 4 years. Parts are a bit expensive new but many parts are available reconditioned or 2nd hand.
Non Thorney labour rates at other McLaren specialists are cheaper then some Audi, BMW and Merc specialists. What is there not to like. 0-60 in 3.1 seconds and superb handling.
When you buy make sure the common issues are fixed which by now most of them are.

This is actually a good point - do increased prices of future models actually impact the older version car? I don’t think they do especially when it’s two completely different cars such as the FF and Purosangue. I hear that SVJ prices are now heading upwards - would that drag up with it S and SV prices?I think if you’re buying into a car that sits as a weekend car its pretty much pointless thinking of re-sale / depreciation proof as the miles you’ll put on will negate that, if it is a weekend car then think more porsche than Ferrari as they’re less mileage sensitive.
if you’re buying a 4th, 5th, 6th to add to a collection then it makes a difference as its easy to keep its mileage low and in keeping with its depreciation proof profile, iits why exotic classics tend to be part of bigger collections, you get to use them when you like but the mileage will be minimised by the choice of cars you have, one of the reasons i left my Lambo,Testarossa & T2 till last, it also means every drive in those particular cars is always memorable and special, my more modern exotica is far more useable and forgettable.

I have to agree with you, I find the look of the F12 far more appealing than 812.I do think the F12 is more attractive than the 812 though, so in the long run I think it might be worth more
Nearly bought one from AD 2 years ago, around £145k. That car would be retailing £10-15k above this right now, but not sure what my return would be. Went with a Huracan LP580-2, then added Lamborghini race exhaust. I have no regrets and returned £1k asset profit after 18 months, so very fortunate.
If buying again, I think I would go with F12, as more usable than a Huracan.

There are 3 for sale FOR AGES on autoscout24.ch. The reality is that almost no one knows it, so definitely not a good place to put your money.so I guess in time those with low mileage will not lose like say the 488 does? they will probably in time go up because NA and good power.

True, not known yet...Look at some cars from the past were only a few were made and most did not know those, but then say 40 years later , they went sky high and known.
btw Henrik Fisker (aston martin? etc) was the designer, he is known by many, so 1+1 = 2 in the end. ? prices are still not high because unknown and still 'new-ish'

He offered it me for 2 grand plus the bike. I sensibly decided the running costs would ruin me.
