They’ve all got one thing in common = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graziano_Trasmission...
My Vantage has a Graziano box EVO consistently refer to the V10 R8s as Supercars and the V8s as Sportscars. Who are we to disagree?

Labels guys, it's just labels... A number of good friends, between them, are currently running McLarens (x2) a California, and a Huracan. I'm the pauper in the bunch, I've got an old really slow Vantage. Thing is, we never talk about 'supercars'. I've been toying with the idea of buying a McLaren, but the word 'supercar' never enters my head. Just the name McLaren. Real down to earth people (in my experience) own what they own and love cars. They don't label them or discriminate. Maybe its just a PH snob and journalist thing. Insisting your car is a 'supercar' or telling others that theirs isn't is really all a bit sad. In my humble opinion. We all love cars, that's (hopefully) why we're on PH.
That said, my Chimaera gets to 60 quicker than my mates California....
Edited to add, it's not a supercar. Whatever that is.

Personally I don't see 1 engine making it a sports car and the other engine making it a super car. A car is in one or the other and not both.
Thanks guys for the tips. When I said ‘supercar’, I meant something which is a bit special and visceral compared to ‘normal sports cars’ - I didn’t want recommendations of a mx5! The distinction between the upper echelons of a sports car and supercar is so subjective and probably not really worth arguing about. Each to their own.
I’ve been reading a bit about the McLaren’s (720s) which seem like a good shout. I’ll add that to the list too. Didn’t think about the Audi R8 and would probably have that over the Porsche Turbo despite losing the 2 rear seats.
I find the 360 quite difficult to drive as a daily. Very loud (Tubi exhaust), doors open too wide so parking is a nightmare, handbrake doesn’t hold even on slight inclines, visibility very poor when it rains due to condensation, no parking sensors etc…. Just send hits fragile. The Aventador Roadster is a better daily with the front lift, reverse camera etc… but again seems a bit fragile with not the best turning circle.

Well fk it, if a Venti roadster is in the mix then the answer by a very very very long mile is an F12.
Everything else is basically knob rot.
I’m not even being facetious. If you want to play at that level the F12 is in a different league to everything else at doing the job specified. Even a 911 Turbo - of any variety - takes a knee.
But, you really, really, have to ask yourself how badly you want the V12. It carries a stunningly hefty premium just to be your daily bh and make you feel like mummies special boy. The R8 boys are actually right in the real world, £40k and job jobbed. Granted, you always know you shopped at Anne Summers, but it does the trick.
Bottom line is that nobody buys a properly silly car to do the daily st unless they are an obsessional muppet. So, you have to ask yourself how much of an obsessional fking muppet are you or are you really an accountant (or IT gimp) called Graham?

Now that you’ve actually mentioned an R8, it’s probably perfect as an everyday car. It will work all the time, sat nav/stereo etc are all great. Gen 2 has switchable exhaust so has okay mode and obnoxious mode. Not overly low or hard to park and while it may lack the highs of a purer car, you already have those with your other cars.
