Has anyone had any experience with this:

When it first came out, it appeared to me to be a bit of a cheat or sort of an automated in-camera Lightroom. Nothing necessarily wrong with either in the right context but the second gen' seems to be capable of doing some interesting stuff.
I've no doubt the same could be achieved using stacking, HDR, etc but would be interested to hear anyone's experience.
