991.2 GT3 Must have options
Discussion
The Sapphire blue Ashgood one is nicely specced.
My must haves was:-
Bucket seats (I find them comfortable and they look cool!!)
Front lift (front pretty low and would scrape getting into my drive)
Leather option for dash & door cards (looks nicer than the plastic, but less resilient)
I wanted a manual.
Wasn't fussed about:-
Cage (people do like them, but preferred clear space behind for coats etc and some squeak)
PCCB brakes (expensive to replace). Ashgood car doesn't have them
If you don't get on with the fixed buckets, the comfort seats still look nice and you should buy for yourself, not the next owner, imo, as peoples wants will vary

The thought of having to replace PCCBs worries me !
...I had to replace the PCCB's on mine... would have been equally happy with steels to be honest but the colour and CS option drew me in and the rest was mere details.14 months, 10k miles and 15+ trackdays later my observations are, for me, it must be a CS, leather dash is irrelevant personally, lift essential and choose a colour that floats your boat. Would prefer standard rear parking sensors to my rear camera as its doesn't beep.
Lift ... I thought I wouldn't need it and have now found that it is useful.
Steels ... no risk of stones scoring the inside rim of wheels and my PCCB's were half worn after 12 full-on trackways
A CS would normally have a roll cage ....
Rear camera ... a pain watching rear mirror, both wing mirrors and rear camera at the same time ... parking sensors are better.
Bose ... makes a difference
A CS would normally have 918 seats which I like ...

If no cage, then get folding buckets & seat heating. You'll be able to put stuff in the back & clean the inside of the rear window. If you have a cage then get the 918 buckets. I have fitted the seat tilt brackets to my drivers seat and it is supremely comfortable now.
My steel brakes are fine & offer plenty of stopping power on road & track. The only downside is the considerable amount of brake dust they throw out. My wheels are always filthy.
I think the BOSE hifi is awful. I wouldn't be bothered if it was standard tbh.
PDLS+ lights are amazing and make late-night B-road blasts safe & enjoyable.
PPF - the front end of my car is well protected with it. My previous 911 showed a lot of chips up after similar mileage without PPF.
I have a manual. It's great, but i'd be faster & more committed on track with a PDK.

Interesting comments given there’s not tons of options compared to a Carrera but here’s mine. I bought a few months back so it’s still fresh.
Essentials for most…
Clubsport - try it, then you will want it. 😂 it’s a must have, and I get comfort spec but the buckets are just as comfy if not more so.
Buckets - try both, some ppl get lower back pain with the fixed ones like me. The folding buckets look great and you can easily acces the rear for bags and coats. Best touring spec imho.
Lift - essential tbh. It does scrape on things my GTS would have flown over.
Must haves for me…
LED headlamps. Look much more modern with the,.
Reverse camera.
Carbon interior. Much better than the black plastic and lifts the interior.
Deviated stitch in red/white with wheel top in same.
Nice to have…
Cruise
Bose - spend a grand at an audio place and it will be better than Bose
Good luck with the hunt! BTW you can download the original brochure in pdf to see all the options.

Mine is a 'comfort' spec with 18 way seats, no cage and steel brakes. That aside I think I have every other option on it and the only one that would be essential for me is the nose lift, the car is VERY low.
Steels Brakes , replaced my Front Discs and pas and rear pads after 20 k miles and 10 track days , cost 1400 in OPC parts and took just over an hour at home . Cages good if you are doing a 24 hour event say the VLN , but otherwise squeaks and takes away the use of the back ...... emergency use once at Le Mans going from the Ball to the Mobile home with 3 rd person ......but just get what you like and use it .
