Well the BBQ that was a hand me down from a friend really has seen better days now.

I like the ease of gas for speed in the evenings, this one had 3 burners which was ideal for when we have people round.

Don't mind spending a bit if it's going to last for years... Any recomendations please?

Cheers

I would have said Weber Kettle 57cm but seeing as you through gas in there then probably one of the Weber outside cookers.... biggrin

Weber for me as well. Had my gas Q200 for years and it's not rusted (cast ali case and ceramic coated iron for the grill) and still makes a lovey sear on steaks and slow cooks other meats and veg beautifully.

Buy one and have it in your outdoor life for decades.

I went for an Outback half and half. Gas on one side, charcoal on the other. Best of both worlds.

Quick, everyone throw turds at the gas bbq man! biggrin

Charcoal starter takes 10 mins and you're away.

Switched to Gas and haven't looked back. Also use a gas pizza oven.

We have a Charbroil gas BBQ and it has been excellent and still going strong after 9 years.

They have Gas/Charcoal ones now...https://www.bbqworld.co.uk/char-broil/char-broil-gas2coal-hybrid-grill.asp?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwi_exBhA8EiwA_kU1Mj8lqUg1DoZMOT0FPwLiAn4zgkXZIHy9cX0JnLGwipngkc9gwu4-0xoC6OIQAvD_BwE

I've got the previous model of this:

https://www.wowbbq.co.uk/weber-genesis-s-335-gas-b...

I don't use the side burner much though.

It replaced something similar from Weber which was over 20 years old when the cost of replacing the bits that had deteriorated wasn't worth it.

I also have a 57cm kettle with a starter chimney but the gas gets used more.

Am I the only one that has a kettle one and then puts a disposable one in the bottom because it's less cleaning up?

Yes except - get a Napoleon wink Arguably better made than a Webber, often better value.

I recently picked up a 4 burner Napoleon from Costco, it was seemingly last year's model so was about half price (~£1400 down to £700).

No complaints, cooks well and seems sturdy although building the thing took a lot longer than expected - easy enough but just endless steps so don't do it on a nice day with guests waiting to eat. The diagram in the instructions should have been a sign!

Haha, it wasn't quite as bad as it looks as some of it had been pre assembled but it still probably took me a couple of hours.

I meant a Napolean kettle BBQ - a real charcoal bbq, not a kitchen stove outdoors wink

To be fair - their gas bbq's do have a good reputation, surprised you had to build that much of it though
