Alcoholic Mirror Fail

I had a top day out riding to the south coast. 3 hour trip in amazing 25c weather. I got home & drank rather too much wine & then attempted to clean the bike. Lost balance whilst manoeuvring bike & almost dropped it! Only damage is a scuff on the mirror from the garage wall. Any ideas on getting rid of scuffs? Dremmel? Heat gun? Filler? New mirror???

I feel your pain, working on your bike in any capacity after a skinful is a bad idea.
A couple of months ago we had a bit of a family do at my house. Around 11pm everyone left and / or went to bed. I decided to 'nip' in the garage and finish the oil change I had started earlier that day. Only had to tighten the sump nut up and fill - easy job! Except my Brandyhands overtightened the sump nut leading to me having to replace the sump.

Not drink related, but 30 years ago i also did that, great lesson for me at 17 years of age, on what a torque wrench is used for.. Years ago I was partially restoring a GSXR 600SRAD and back when I liked a drink had been putting it back together whilst in no state to. I had the tank off to balance the carbs, change air filter.
Couple days later I got on the bike and started it, then set off only for it to die quickly. I had forgotten to connect the fuel hose and what distance I did get must have been due to what was in the lines already. How I didn’t notice the fuel pissing out of it or set myself on fire on the hot exhaust I’ll never know.
Cool story and all that and no help whatsoever, but you’re not alone in booze fuelled bad decisions!

Luckily the scratches are on the left hand mirror, so when it's on the side stand you can't see it & not visible when riding. Not sure I'll bother with any ham fisted repair attempts, & I'm definitely going to remind myself not to carry out maintenance whilst under the influence!!
