Oooo - Nasty!

Just recieved a pair of identical emails alledgedly from Microsoft Customer Services [[e-mail]] warning of a security problem which can be fixed by installing the attached patch.

Norton quarantined the attachments because they have a virus in them (Worm.Automat.AHB).

They look like ripped-off Microsoft pages and only look suspicious because the emails arrived as a duplicate pair and refer to IE 4.01 and later. I.E. the dark ages!

I hope not too many computer numpties people get caught by this.

yep i got both of them today. they do look real untill you look at the e-mail header.

fortunaetly avg picked em up..

Not close enough.
It did need bringing up though and it's the thought that counts. Especially if it prevents someone getting the virus !
