It seemed a slam dunk from the video. Mind you, many penalties seem to be nothing wrong and yet drops are the result.

Shame. On the plus side, for a McL supporter, the second place McL is kicked off, and another McL replaces it. Good times.
He’d just left the pits on an outlap, and had no way of knowing there was a car on a hot lap about to meet him at the first corner. Harsh, but it happens. I hope his race engineer apologised for the confusion.

Hopefully Norris gets a good enough start to get his elbows out into Variante Alta. The donkey jockeys need to come to an understanding so they don't trip each other up.
Not sure that Norris wouldn't want to keep things clean at the start. His longer run pace suggests he has every chance of having the fastest car tomorrow so it might well be safer to rely on that than risking any argy bargy with Verstappen.

Plus there surely a very high chance of a safety car - especially based on the F2 and F3 races.

Cracking lap from Max, and he sounded genuinely relieved to get that one.

Oscar sounded like he’d just woken up from an afternoon nap when his engineer said he was P2 - the kid must have ice flowing through his veins.

Fancy we might have a decent race tmrw.
I’m at Imola on a Paddock Pass and bumped into my favourite journo Joe Saward. He told me that Piastri is the best young driver that he has ever seen and has unbelievable capacity to operate calmly under pressure. Your observations are in line with that assessment.

Incidentally, he also spoke highly of Antonelli and earmarks him for Mercedes, when I mooted Sainz as an option.

Also Lando does not seem to be great at starts this season.
Slot into second and hold for a bit while Oscar gets up to 3rd for mclaren to play 2vs 1.

Seems like I’m in good company! I've said before that I really rate Oscar and fancy him to go on to big things, perhaps more so than Lando. Time will tell, I guess.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend thumbup

He's going nowhere. Norris makes him look average.

I wouldn't be so quick to judge. While Norris is undoubtedly talented, it's still early days for Oscar.

Yuki has been walking all over Ricciardo all weekend. A set of very lucky circumstances makes it look closer than it is with Yuki in 7th and Danny in 9th. Ric was extremely lucky to even be in Q3 at all, with Perez making an ass out of himself and his team. Then Yuki had an unfortunate mistake in his final quali lap, which was completely out of character with the rest of his performance this week. Even with that mistake Yuki qualified more than 2 tenths ahead of Ric.

Ric once again skates by on good fortune. He will make a mess of the race, as per usual.

Anyone else feel just a teensy weensy bit jealous? I mean, just slightly, although enough for it to ruin race day?

Someone suggested M1K3 deserves to be ‘PHer of the year’. I wholeheartedly second that.

Have a great day, guys.

This is great that the Internet and pH has brought a good thing about. Yes it's ruined my day haha biggrin

That's one thing I think is great being on the continent you can just get in the car and go. No M20 to deal with hehe
