BMW E9X 335d as a fun daily commuter car in 2024

Hi I'm changing jobs and my new commute will be 100 miles round trip. The journey is mostly motorway m25 (essex to Kent) over dartford bridge. Is a BMW e91 touring 335d the sweet spot of fun and decent mpg or am I well off it.
If I could get 45 mpg out of it and Remap it to stage 2 that looks to me like a crazy fun power to mpg ratio for a daily.
I currently have a tts that gets me around 28mpg on the same journey.
Let me know what mpg you get out of yours. Or if there is a better car out there for this journey.

Different drivers will get different mpg on the same journey.
If you're only getting 28 in a TT, you'll not be the most economical in a 335.
You can get great mpg from a BMW diesel, cruising steadily at a good pace on a relatively empty motorway.
Traffic knocks it though.
The CO2 rating tells a story!
A mate has a 535. It's good on long runs, probably 50mpg cruising up the M5 when it's quiet. But a rush hour trip into Exeter dents the average from a tank. the other costs over a year seem to make a few mpg a bit of a sideshow. Suspension bills, tyres, brakes, all the bits cost more than a Ford...A very nice car though.
Also E91 is old now, a lot have corrosion underneath at the back, as MOT advisories.

You won't get 45mpg out of a 335d.I've averaged 36MPG over several tens of thousands of miles.
It's an old M57 engine, with an old 6HP gearbox. Both of which were designed before the millenium...
