Okay, I need help.

Not a slim chap, so a lot of 'fashion' isn't very workable for me.

My standard attire is what I would call 'smart-working-country'.

Tan dealer boots, blue Wrangler jeans (because Texas just fit me), Hoggs check shirt and a body warmer, usually a Deerhunter but I have an Ariat one as well.

If I am going somewhere smarter I wear brogues and chinos and a tweed jacket & shirt.

So far so good.

Summer if chaos. Basically cargo shorts and trainers and a polo shirt. I dress quite well for 9 months of the year and then the sun comes out and I look like Jack (the Robin Williams character).

Any suggestions that are still practical but sartorially more elegant than my default.

I am 46, bald and rarely venture into anywhere bigger than a county town. If I do have to go to London I am quite happy to continue to dress in my 'country ways' as I'm not a native.

I’m a long way from a fashion icon, but if I were you I’d just swap the cargo shorts for chino shorts or some linen trousers. Polos or a t shirt on top, and you’re all set I’d have thought?

Nope and I don’t feel the need to impress anyone.

I was lucky by learning the importance lesson of not judging a book by a cover in my 20’s (mistook foreign royalty). Even today the wealthiest people I deal with dress very modestly.

People deal with me because of what I can do and who I know, not because of how I dress. And that’s how it should be IMO.

Super comfy, I do dislike the buckle though.
