I take your point DA, but and its a big but, you can quite easily save what money you have into a savings account until you have enough to invest, even easier you can stick the monthlies into a Vanguard et all monthly investor ISA.

Put to let someone else take your salary to do stuff for you which is so simple you could do it yourself, and then charge you a fee for paying bills that you could easily pay yourself, and providing you pocket money out of your own salary

why would you do that if not lazy and or stupid?

I agree. To be honest, once you get a job one is typically saving for a house deposit so as that should be a relatively short term program then there is a very good argument for saving as zero capital risk cash but an excess beyond that can make fair use of a kosher DWM platform.

Re the whole 'I still need a mummy to manage my life' thing, well it's hard to respect an adult who does or one who thinks it's remotely intelligent to be paying away for things that take no skill, effort or brain to do oneself. The reality is that it's a L'Oriel product for consumer wieners who care more about reflections than reality.

You say lazy or stupid, but that person will show off to their friend/cohort to say "look, I don't have to waste my time doing any of that boring stuff, I've got this app and it does it all for me. My time is too valuable and I'm too important".

The cohort replies "wow, that's so cool, I've got to have it!"

And so this new fad begins and if you don't have it then you are "so yesterday!" and you cannot show your face at parties.

You can picture the no skip advert on youtube biggrin

taking aside you just proved my point ref stupidity!

pretty sure the seconds paying a bill takes will not make me any more money

besides they do it whilst "working" from home" so it won't be their time anyway

When I first met my step son, his mum had massive debt and could not afford to keep herself afloat.

He was in his final year at uni at the time and had the latest iPhone, Mac book etc.

I questioned why he could not use an Android phone like his mum and like myself. He explained that the iPhone was just slicker, stuff which took two clicks using an Android phone, you could do with one click.

So this just means its quicker for him to do things like get to his photos, connect with his friends so that they can arrange to go out.

DA hits the mark in terms of how the marketing sells it to this generation. To you and me, it seems illogical and expensive, to the younger generation it's just cool.

Maybe they haven't even worked out that if you schedule your daily dump during office hours you're actually be paid to drop the wife and kids off at the pool.

I’ve seen a spreadsheet where you entered your salary and the time you spent perched on the throne at work, and it told you how much you had earned during each visit. Add up all the dumps over a year, and it totted up to a reasonable sum.

Probably an app for that now too. biglaugh
