£1.84 for Shell V Power Diesel where I live currently.

I gave up caring about the prices years ago. Is what it is. We will always get stiffed at the pumps no matter what.

I'm happy! Diesel back below £1.50 a litre round here, haven't seen it that low for what feels like years!

Same here. I do about 5k a year in the car, and maybe another 4k on the bike. It costs what it costs.

My next car will almost certainly be electric. I have a driveway so home charging is easy, and can't remember the last time I drove more than 150 miles in one journey. I can't help but feel that the current glut of used electric cars, and consequent low prices/high depreciation of them, is going to change quickly as electric becomes the norm so those low prices may not last.

But at my annual mileage, it's not worth spending about £15k on changing a car I already own outright, and which does a fine job of the things I ask of it, just to save the cost of one £80 fill-up a month minus whatever the overnight charges will cost me. Petrol costs would have to rise massively to move the 'sensible hat' financial needle for me. Even though I would secretly quite like a 2-3 year old ~400bhp family car for ~£25k. smile

Diesel was £1.47/litre at Esso in High Wycombe today.

Pretty sure I paid £1.55 earlier this week, in Slough.
