Has anyone tried the E63S? They seem a bit more expensive but similar offering.
I had an hour driving the C63S on the track and skid pan at Mercedes Benz world. It was a fun birthday present from my wife, stayed at the hotel on site and had a wonder round the museum as well.
I enjoyed the drive but don't think the C/E63S is a match for the F90 M5.
If you are thinking it might be a better fit for you its a good chance to have a decent go in one.

I have had a couple of C63S’s in the past (the 6.3L and the 4.0)
Same, and the CLS. And the natural successor to my last C was an E - but when we tried it we bought... an F90. The E63 interior quality is less robust, the suspension is less compliant (than the LCI at least), and I didn't feel there was enough to differentiate it from my previous AMGs.
I think the BMW set up and engine feel a lot more technical and refined. The 4.0 MB TT does put out a good rumble, and feels torquey, but over 40k miles I never felt it was as special as made out by everyone - especially following the 5.5 which I loved. The S63TU4 on the other hand feels like a much more high tolerance and highly strung engine, and more of an event. Though I appreciate they are similar on paper and my view is subjective.
Tl;Dr if you buy a w213 you will just come back to an F90 and lose even more money, again.
Quick question on the LCI version. I had a 2022 and it had the laser lights (imo the only real must have option!) with the blue inserts and it had the black surround on the rear lights. I have been looking at a 2020 LCI with the laser lights that doesn’t have either those things? Was there a further update in 2020 at some point?

The new M5 is 2.4 tonnes of PHEV battery! Power to weight is lower than the F90 too. That thing is going to drive like a brick!
Well done to those who bought the last few F90’s
Awful, what on earth is going on in BMW these days. M3 front end, M2 rear end and now this behemoth. Well done to those who bought the last few F90’s
