I would agree that the press like to stir things up, but often the response to it is equally telling.
As an example, in US politics, elements of the media repeatedly portray Biden as a doddery old fool with dementia. They also accuse him of all sorts of criminality linked to his f
kwit son. In response he largely says nothing, and just goes about his daily business. On the other hand, when Trump is mocked or accused of things, he immediately plays the victim card, and rants about how people hate him and are conspiring against him, even though he's this great guy who just wants to help everyone.
Rightly or wrongly, One comes across as a relatively stable, sane individual, whilst the other comes across as a needy, attention seeking manipulator, with mental health issues. So yeah, the media can be aholes, who like to prod and provoke, but sometimes the reaction they provoke gives an insight into the one being prodded.
I may be wrong, but I get the impression that she thrives on the drama and attention, and painting herself as the butter wouldn't melt victim, rather than being someone who just wants to quietly get on with her life in relative anonymity.
For what it's worth, I think Harry is living out his mother issues and a difficult childhood/past (he's already compared Meghan to Diana), and is being dragged along for the ride.

I have no interest in them. I have no doubt the press have treated them appallingly, like they have so many others.
But I get the impression recently, they’re only in the news, because they keep putting themselves there, to keep the $$$ rolling in.
This it seems may backfire, as even the more respected American media, are getting tired of their whining.

It's pretty clear Harry isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Most students at Eton achieve grades A or B in academic subjects and grades below "C" are virtually unheard of in any subject. Harry's qualifications are a grade B in art and D in geography.

Before watching I was very much in the Harry and MeAgain really should just FRO camp.
Her curtsy was all a bit cringe and Harry looked very uncomfortable watching it.
Harry lost his Mum when he was 12. "Meg" comes from a broken home and was sold out by her Dad and half sister.
What do I now think of them? Well, something has certainly gone on between the various press offices. Meg realised she would never be on a par with Kate. Press certainly had a pact against Meg. H and Meg continue to feed the press hatred of them.
Above all H and Meg have some serious mental health issues and I sincerely hope they get the help they need.

Megan went into the whole thing looking for trouble. Kate got exactly the same bounce from the press.
The scene early in the series where the papp was following them- why were they in a car with clear windows? There was one bloke following them, hardly a high speed chase through Paris.
She (and he) came across like total whining narcissists. It is also almost 100% about race now. I think it was always going to as she was looking for it.
She has got exactly what she wanted- to be one of the most talked about people on earth. Don't feed the trolls!

Really ? So you know them inside out ? Megan comes across as a manipulative, back stabbing troublemaker who would cause hell in an empty house. And you say they aren’t media hungry ,and yet every single thing they do undermines that very statement you’ve made.
MM has done absolutely zero for charity without linking it to boosting her personal profile or their bank balance. So when you start joining the dots a very clear picture emerges.
Charity you say… What about Migrateful? Grenfell tower? himmah? BLM? Angel food? Theres plenty more to, all done by her independently in a personal capacity without fanfare.

It's interesting you say this. The only thing I'm aware of them doing is this series and the Oprah interview. Any other news I ever see about them is usually when Piers Morgan has made yet another hateful tweet about how Megan dared to reject his advances or usually an article on the Mail that the one guy I'm friends with on Facebook who seems highly threatened by them (since he comments on absolutely everything he can find about them) has shared. So I can't really say there's any evident constant wining that I'm aware of unless you are going looking for articles on The Mail.I'm tired of their constant wining. Clarkson's comments. :-) I had to laugh when I read them. Amazing the shock though through twitter with one person forwarding the tweet to the Police stating he should be arrested / investigated as its a threat.
It's clear that there are two very distinct views on this H&M subject, those who love them or those who dont. Im in the camp where I dont like them.
I switched on itv this morning and Clarkson was being discussing it there. Everyone acting like Clarkson has literally threatened her. Listening to them made me realise that as a society we've become so delicate.
One thing I have learnt though, ITV GMTV is awful and I shall never watch it again.
