They had a big crypto outbreak in Glasgow years ago. Cause identified as heavy rain washing sheep ste into Loch Katrine reservoir. Same sheep being grazed on land owned by the water authority who risked public health for a relevant pittance. In fact the owner of the sheep would have got a subsidy for them as well.

Then had to spend £120 million or so in the mid 2000,s to build a filtration system.

Number of Public Sector employees who lost their jobs over this monumental cock up in which someone died.
