Of course he is going to put a positive sign on things. In the article it quotes him saying the squad technically are better, good youth coming through, but the results have not been good So he seems some positives but knows a lot has gone wrong

He’s more deluded than David Moyes was, I genuinely didn’t think that was possible…
I don't think he is deluded. He is putting a spin on thing, calling out what he thinks has been good, but also recognised that results have been poor. Do you think he would come out and say yep it's all st and I should be getting the sack?
It's obvious you hate him, and take offence to what he says. You know you can just not read the headlines.
Very much the dead rubber feel to this one, especially with Toon 3 up at Brentford. 8th is locked in (shamefully, frankly, even given the injuries) and no one is really risking anything now ahead of next weekend. Hopefully no injuries, I suppose, or suspensions with Bruno picking up a yellow just (bit harsh).

What a bizarre comment. How can I hate someone I’ve never met? Why would calling someone delusional mean I’m offended? I wonder if you perhaps have misunderstood the meaning of those words…He’s a terrible manager and completely deluded. It doesn’t mean I “hate” him

ETH being terrible, deluded and the various other childish insulting opinions you and others offer on United and ETH Simon are just that., opinions, every other poster should be entitled to theirs and not be belittled, insulted or patronised.
See you in August decent reds. I’ll be at Wembley next week hoping we win but having a great time regardless.
For those of you that appear to need the negativity eat that from Casemiro and Dalot.

Yet your last post said anyone who doesn’t agree with your opinion is an imbecile and likely to not be very good at their job. Whilst that was a thick braindead comment, the one above confirms your pure hypocrisy to go on top of it.

Well, confidence a little bit for a few players, Varane and Martinez back and a positive result to end a dreary PL campaign. Onwards and upwards. Lots to do, long way to go but some small shoots of optimism in there. Imagine the team might look a bit different next August.
49 games for Garnacho, apparently, that's a lot for a young lad and perhaps not surprising he's looked a bit jaded of late but we've needed him and Mainoo so fair play to them. Dalot done well overall too, played a lot out of position but he's kept at it. Probably player of the season stuff really from him.
Can look forward to next weekend now with a what ever happens attitude I guess. Hopefully we give it a good go.

I agree, good post (and good to have the posts back on track). 49 games for Garnacho, apparently, that's a lot for a young lad and perhaps not surprising he's looked a bit jaded of late but we've needed him and Mainoo so fair play to them. If looking for the slithers of positivity for this season it’s that we have some young players who have shown themselves as being capable of playing at a high level. There aren’t many 18/19 year olds starting week in week out for a club of our stature.
In the 3 youngsters Mainoo, Garnacho, Hojlund (accepting each has strong potential, with room for improvement in different areas) combined with Martinez (IF he can stay fit), Bruno, Dalot there’s the bones of a decent team. (Amad may have a role to play too)
If we can get the recruitment right this summer, with some big names and big salaries leaving and more young/high potential players with the right desire, hunger, fight and ambition replacing them then we could be at the start of a new cycle.
As for next week, stranger things have happened.
