My wife would in heaven with Vette, and I’m a fan, but not with my own cash….
I think a vette is likely one of the more sensible things. Robust. Simple. Unlikely to depreciate much. Children will point and wave. White-Noise said:

This didn’t get enough attention when posted. That is absolutely epic.
You wont get more of an event than a Tvr but they are a bit agricultural in the handling stakes.
Maybe consider a Supercharged Elise if you want to add some drama, i have a 111R and i would agree although its an epic drive it lacks drama for me.
The VX220 Turbo is often overlooked but very good value.

The G40R seems to hold value well, there is a lad on YouTube with one which is quite an interesting watch, I really fancied one for a bit.
also on my short list would be a Mini GP2 (supercharged) or the newer turbo one. Both look a riot.
Sorry I don't recall if there was a car age limit, if not maybe a 968 Sport or CS?

Probably no logical reason to buy one instead of a Cayman but I think it is quirky and quite cool...tbf, I prefer to tread the path less trodden.

can't find the active advert but there was one kicking around for 18k ish for a while which looked well cared for.

Absolutely yes… I did about 1000 miles in our Demo when I was at Merritt Lotus….https://www.carbarn.co.uk/cars-for-sale/lotus/euro...

Good looking but as you say , quirky…
And pretty tuneable to I recall….
Off looking at AT etc….
Maybe a bit rich for your blood but low mileage DB9s are in budget.

Then how about a Tuscan? Don't get much more of an event than that?

Especially when the Speed Six goes pop, now that’s a big event https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166737899681?itmmeta=01...

IIRC, it was a lack of oil ways to or in the camshafts that caused the issue ?

They are rebuilt properly these days but id still be a bit wary about buying one, no doubt it would have been a great engine in the first place if they did it right.

However like this example, at £25K you may will struggle get one with a good history and a post 2004 rebuild.
£30K will get you a good Tuscan.
For £20K I would go for the best Chimaera you can find.
.
A mate has a Caterham and leaves it parked up wherever he likes, he has a cover that goes over the roof and covers the windscreen and sides. He says that he's never had an issue.
A chimp is a good idea, but I think an F Type is probably going to feel a bit lardy after a Caterham, I guess most things will though.

Yes , post 2003/4 rebuilt engines (by specialist) are relativity solid and probably no more risky now that a 25 year old Ferrari or Porsche. The Speed 6 is an awesome lump, but these are race engines and need to be treated as such.
