Another nice day so out on the 125 again.

On the way to Rothbury.

On the way back.

First trip up to the Dales this year, took it easy and enjoyed the scenery to avoid being part of the inevitable carnage on a Sunday, been there got the scars.
I love that

Scottish sections of the VMCC organised a ride-an-old-bike day to let folks ride some of the members bikes (in a controlled environment). I took the ‘47 Chief along and the wee (‘49) Corgi…little and large wink. A fee brave soils chose to ride the Indian and seemed to get the hang of a foot clutch/hand shift, and even the Corgi had some takers. Lots of other very nice old bikes there…some even pre-dating twist grips. All in all a really great day with old blokes (and ladies) messing about with old bikes.

Perspective makes the Corgi seem much larger than it actually is!

I am not sure that image or your endorsement is helpful.

Very brave of you - well done. I'd love to have a go on both.

What's quite far in Canada 500 miles ?

4 of us went out today - 2 punctures

Luckily no walking involved biggrin
No idea, but it was about 30 mins each way of up and down trails. These boot are definitely NOT made for walking. Might stick some lightweight trainers in my backpack in case it happens again.

You could carry an emergency litre of fuel. Oxford sell a flask type product.

KTM need to sort their st out.

I wouldn't go near a new (any) KTM without clear evidence of proper QC.

You’re not wrong. I had more problems with my S1000R’s than I have with my Aprilia. More serious and potentially costly ones too.

Did a charity ride thing yesterday. Bikes were to be vintage/classic style so I removed my rim tape (been wanting to do that since I got it - what a ball ache of a job) and removed the pillion seat cowl to de-sportify the bike!

I am not sure that your opinion matters............

BTW, as an owner of an 890R I fully concur with BN's assessment, albeit that I am no match for him in the wheelie stakes.

Agreed, I meant walking though, for whatever reason. I do have a fuel bottle which I might add. But with some tools and 3L of water the backpack can get pretty heavy. I might end up buying a larger IMS tank, as the stock one is so small.

Sorry to hear this. What happened?
Repeated EML and limp mode, on the year old bike I bought four/five weeks ago. After an unsuccessful attempt at repair I insisted they repatriate the bike and, thanks to the efforts of my travelling companions, carried on with our holiday.

Minutes before I cried "enough!":

Looking forwards to the middle of June when I might actually have a bike again! frown

Did the DGR thing in Cambridge yesterday on The Thruxton TFC. 240 bikes, well organised, raised over £20000. Good fun, some lovely bikes out.

Minutes before it threw the first fault I was gunning it down a canyon inbetween the two other bikes pictured and absolutely loving it. Fingers crossed it gets fixed and many years faithful service.

You're not making this any easier for me! biggrin Was a cracking night lastnight, I'd have been down there myself. Lovely bike.
