Why not just phone your local tyre shop and get them to quote. My local place quotes the same price as mytyres for the tyres on my car I just checked their website, (admittedly I did only check one make of tyre). Then you don't have any of the hassle involved with online ordering.

Agree with this, my local National Tyres (love them or hate them) have always been same price or even cheaper than me buying tyres online and having them fitted

I can't use them for fear of screwing up my alloys and getting the balance wrong.

I must be lucky with my local NT as never had any problems with both of my vehicles having been worked on there

Do not buy from these guys.

Not UK based - German company, but not German Efficiency.

Poor customer service, lack of info

Takes your money, don't see the tyres.

Looks like UK based website .co.uk

Seems good availability, good prices, etc....DON'T BE FOOLED!

It's true that mytyres is primarily a German company, and it's also true that their stock has been taking a lot longer to get to customers since brexit than before it, but your statement that it's not a UK company is demonstrably false, as I've just shown. Other companies in the UK source tyres abroad too, not just Mytyres.

I've used my tyres several times, never had a problem though all were pre Brexit to be fair.

The only issue I had with them was that the delivery firm DPD tried to deliver to the wrong address, no one in, so fortunately sent me an email of the front door of the place where they left the " We tried but you were out card." Not mytyres fault.

Since then have used oponeo which is a Polish outfit, incl post Brexit. Zero issues, prompt delivery, good customer service.

Last set, bit complicated used Blackcircles. They were OK though I used their local fitter supposedly highly approved. Man operating out of shipping containers and a trolley jack. Unimpressed though fitted OK albeit missed off a valve cover.

Next time will go back to delivery to home and use my normal fitter even though it's a 40 min drive as they have a Hunter alignment setup which I get done at same time.

I haven't used them since 2013(ordered 2 new rear tyres for the E92 M3), but I always used them for 10 years prior to that and I never had a problem with them.

I got through rear tyres like they were going out of fashion in the 200SX, and I always used them when I had that without any issues.

MyTyres has always been my goto for tyres, Excellent service, delivered as promised and nearly always cheaper than anybody else. Never had a problem with them across the best part of a dozen transactions.

Nowadays their prices are sometimes competitive, sometimes not. Brexit I expect.

I normally use blackcircles, but just once I used mytyres (quite recently) because they were the only place I could find the correct brand to match the other tyres on the car. Order turned out to be a nightmare.
I didn't know they were German based.
Order didn't arrive, and they blamed courier. After lots of on-line searches I managed to get through to their phone line and they re-ordered the tyre, which took another 5 weeks.
To be fair it was all sorted out in the end, but caused me a lot of angst.

What's amusing about that statement is that Blackcircles is French owned. It's a subsidiary of Michelin.

It's not so much the ownership that matters, just the service. Blackcircles has delivered good service many times, just once sent the wrong size and they admitted their mistake before it was fitted, and corrected it, result just 3 day delay.
MyTyres much worse, admittedly on only 1 order for me in total, but may or may not be connected to the country of ownership.

.co.uk or not, it's a German company with a UK presence probably through their accountants or IT host. They also have a few other .co.uk branded names that they use.

I'll order from MyTyres if it's a good price and I'm in no hurry for the tyres. Realistically it will take around 2 weeks for the tyres to arrive. That is if they can be bothered to process it and not cancel order. It's such a strange company. Order today and they won't like your order and cancel. Order tomorrow and they'll accept your order.

My Romanian mechanic and indy tyre place have no issues with fitting tyres bought elsewhere, so my go to for reliable consistent mail order is Camskill (next day) or Openeo (around 72 hours for free delivery).

Anyone used them recently?

I’ve used them in the past but their trustpilot rating isn’t great, suggesting deliveries are a bit ste.

I've been proving tyres up today from the usual online lot. Mytyres were around 6 quid cheaper per tyre.
Not worth it, the tyre fitters are going to.wamt 10 quid a tyre minimum to fit. May as well use black circles.

They have fitting partners, you just have to tick the "I want fitting" box.

Blackcircles.com is a wholly owned subsidiary of Michelin, by the way.

Brexit = customs difficulties. It applies to lots of things, not just tyres. I've had it on Amazon stuff.

Verdict- no complaints.

Ordered 2 on the 27th and they arrived today which is decent considering the time of year and shipping from Germany.

I'm currently having an absolute nightmare with this company, ordered a tyre only to find it will take 2 weeks to arrive, I then cancelled it a day later, they will not refund me saying I have to refuse the delivery which apparently the tyre will have to be returned to Germany before I have a chance of my money. Any normal company would provide continuous support. Customer support at it lowest 😪
