Minced lamb with roasted onion, courgette, aubergine and butter beans in a sauce made with ras al hanut, zaatar and Harris’s so a real melting pot of Middle Eastern flavours. Served with orzo stirred through it.

No idea what to call it hehe

Generally not a fan of burgers, first time making them, beef pattie, lettuce, tomatoes, caramelised onions and Dijon mustard. Nice and juicy and tasty enough, but a bit of a faff and a mess.

Will I do them again, probably not!

I used both the above as a start and followed to the letter they are great. I’ve since added lime juice and more fresh chillis to both but I do like s bit of heat.
Thanks for that. I've just tried the cucumber recipe for lunch and enjoyed it.

I'd agree that it can take quite a lot more chilli.
Yum. Looks delicious.

Laoganma Crispy Chilli Oil incoming.
My only regret being that I bought just the one jar of Laoganma Crispy Chilli Oil, as used in the recipe AMG posted.

OMG it's delicious.

I made the cucumber salad - over-salted it - but lobbed in some cherry tomatoes and the flavours still work.

Useful stuff, thanks for the recommendation.

Shamelessly first bbq of the season, was doing outside jobs so easy to keep an eye on.

Chicken tikka, veg and halloumi in the ‘bbq bowl’, no I’m not Cotty…!

Another bbq bowl from last night. I’d like to explain the concept to you CdG, but I’m not sure you’d understand…

Gave the Tandoor it's first blast of the year to burn off the detritus. Just a couple of Italian Pork Chops and baked spuds on the coals..........
