Tuapse refinery hit by Ukraine on 25 January is back producing oil

According to the article it produced 20,000 metric tons of oil on May 1, which is 169,000 barrels according to my internet search.

That was a quick repair considering the size of the fire?
Less than £100,000 worth of drones to knock out a refinery for three months seems a good deal to me.

It's time for another visit.

The problem with refineries is that they most likely have great fire suppression systems in place.

Useful to know when it is back online, I would think.

US army seargant arrested for a theft. Most likely stole a piece of butter as these are very valuable after sanctions have come.

It seems that his "girlfriend" lured him to visit her in RF.

This is a very different perspective to much of what you’ll read about the war over the past few months. Comes with maps and analysis to make an effective point:

https://phillipspobrien.substack.com/p/weekend-upd...

TL:DR version - recent reports of Russia in the ascendancy have been greatly exaggerated.

The drone attacks are not, for various reasons (environmental, civilian collateral, global oil supply) trying to blow the whole refinery, oil tanks and all. The way it looks on the attack footage I have seen, is they are hitting the refining towers and the complex, expensive and hard to get kit therein. the strikes are generally fairly surgical in this regard.

Yes, Russian infrastructure is lauded around the world for it's health & safety and over-engineered, multilayered redundancy systems; "Made in Russia" is literally a byword for quality yes

An excellent example of Vranyo. You are learning, Comrade Tenko.

Russians want the war over. Putin can't tell them when it will be.

Kadyrov is likely genuinely ill.

He was well enough to make it to Moscow - there have been rumours of life support and a coma.

Fair point.

I keep hearing he's genuinely ill from increasingly reliable sources but at no point have they shared decent evidence. So maybe its nothing.

from the linked news report

Bortnikov looks to be in a better state than Ramzan Kadyrov, the Chechnya warlord reportedly suffering from serious pancreatic problems. He was at the inauguration, but needed two flunkeys to take his jacket off for him, suggesting the rumours of ill-health are real.

Apparently, it's ICBMs, some trucks and a lone T-34 - as well as some captured western kit.

The captured western kit is probably in better working order than the ruzzian stuff smile .

Russia reach the landmark of 3000 lost tanks, so no wonder they could only find a T-34 for the parade.
