Good. But no consolation to the millions of people that are now dead or been reduced to a cabbage / iife-changing damage. Are we going to see the CEO doing a life jail term? No of course not.alangla said:

I wonder whether that has any impact on the future of viral vector vaccines. The Janssen JnJ vaccine that was also a viral vector one also had the same ViTT issue as AZN. The only other one afaik would the the Ebola vaccine(s) that was just approved prior to the covid ones. Those though were never used in large enough numbers to obviously have shown that issue so might well have had it but no one really knew either...... And to be fair, ultimately the rarity of ViTT assuming the same rates would still have meant it might well have made sense for ebola anyway.r3g said:

FYPIt's funny how Oxford wanted their name on it when they rolled out the vaccine and then distanced themselves the minute some bad publicity came.

The BBC's darling Dr Ranj was on this morning, talking about the vaccines and how rare the injuries were, so myself and some others who have been injured, asked some polite questions on his FB page and guess what - the comments were deleted.
I do get the feeling that the energy being directed at people like Dr Ranj would be better spend directed at the Chinese state. No vaccine is perfect, we needed something fast and effective, we got one, the virus mutated faster than expected and people died as a result of the vaccine - it was the best outcome of a bad situation.
Instead of championing a national achievement to get the vaccine out at the speed they did the anti-vaxx brigade are too involved and hence, comments get deleted.
Facebook is not the place for reasoned debate anyway, you are wasting your time reading it if that's what you expect out of it.

What does an American adverse events reporting portal tell you?
I thought the AstraZeneca vaccine was never used in the US? Or are you talking about reports about adverse reactions to Covid vaccines in general? As Isaldiri pointed out, the Janssen one used similar technology and I assume was used in the US, so it would be interesting to see reports for that & compare to the AstraZeneca one

How do you define "effective"?And the evidence of it please
You can also look here of course if you are actually interested (but of course you will be aware that very few adverse events are ever reported) https://www.adrreports.eu/en/search_subst.html#

The Facebook group I belong to, is a registered charity, set up to help the victims and families of the bereaved who have been injured and sadly died. None of the injured and bereaved were anti vaxxers, they were injured by the vaccine. We are not Covid deniers either and we also recognise that Long Covid exists.
