It's interesting that at this stage with an election imminent, the Tories are still reviving the Labour Party and Starmer is a spectator. Some people make things happen, some watch things happen and others wonder what happened. At least Starmer is still in the middle ground.
A wiser take would be never interrupt your enemy when they're making a mistake & the Tories amount to a hill of Mr Beans.

Labour with nothing to complain about as the Conservatives do Starmer's job, which with Labour elected wouldn't be available from 2025 on.

The British electorate, claiming to seek sobriety, crosses back over the road to drink in the other pub to double check if that helps this time.

'Punish the pub! Kill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood! Do him in!' apologies to WG.

Well, when one pub has hiked it's prices, short-changed the customers, watered down the beers and let a bunch of NF skinheads drink in the tap room, sensible customers will find an alternative drinking establishment.

edited to add : if this is the Tory fan boy reaction after local elections, I can't wait for the absolute meltdown at the GE. hehe

Do you know any Tory fan boys?

Most people who vote Conservative, and I include myself only do so whilst holding their nose. Least worst option is always the strategy taken at election time.

We do not see this approach on the other side of the political fence though, it was not too long ago for example that festival crowds were chanting for Corbyn.

On no, haven’t you heard?

It’s going to be a coalition now. Rishi said so and it’s been parroted on here so it must be true.

Unfortunately for him nobody is believing that line including his own party.

I dont know any hard core political fan boys of any particular party expect for those in here who post consistently in all the political threads pushing their undying love for the Labour Party.

Certainly an eye opener!

Probably inevitable after a party has been in government for 14 years.

Shows your comprehension skills. Who’s pushing their love for the Labour Party?

People are declaring a preference and many are not traditional Labour voters or indeed supporters. They are just so sick of this inept government that they are crying out for change. What change there will be is a debatable point but maybe a period of calm government that isn’t beset by culture war nonsense and lurching from one self-inflicted crisis to another. May not happen but we simply can’t carry on as we are.

They know that there will be no unicorns coming but hoping that at the very least, the Tory party spend their time in opposition rebuilding themselves into a credible party once again.

Oh I agree and won’t be voting for any of them as it stands at the moment that’s for sure.

Utter bell ends the lot of them

To be fair, they've become very shy recently. After years of cheerleading the current st-show, many have declared that 'politics is broken'/they're 'politically homeless'/'FPTP is unfair'/Reform are the answer/etc etc across multiple threads. I suppose it's one way to distance themselves from the obvious train-wreck that this government has been and pretend that they were never part of it in the first place.

Would you care to actually name any of these posters? I've not seen any undying love for the labour party?

Is this satire?

What about all the Eeyores on here forecasting doom and grass soup for dinner if Labour get into power (as opposed to the current marvellous iteration of the Conservative Party).

Have you missed those posts?

I've been on here 15 years and I'm not sure I ever have either.

Classic PH upsidedownism. Not happy with the Tories? Well you're obviously some lay about Marxist waster then. Only three days since some towering intellect on here called me a Labour stooge. I guess I must be.

The Conservatives a st, so anyone who thinks Labour would be st (again) and quite possibly worse must be a Tory fan boy? That sums up the problem with our politics.
